Is a wipe ? (merged topics)

    Why does that even matter? Didn't you come to play the game for free and most importantly have fun with other people of the community who possibly want to have fun with the game as well? Gameforge really has nothing to hide.

    It's hard to judge anything until we get confirmed launch out of beta.

    What I don't understand is how you strongly feel that this game will fail because of a simple p2w system that's not even here yet to test. They could go along with other ways but at the end of the day, people will just play on because what game doesn't have some sort of Enchanting system? How can you even be so sure we'll only have such a small playerbase? The only thing in your post is hate and a biased opinion.

    I'm not sure what you want from them. You asked them if there is going to be a wipe. Their answer was "If it's needed". That seems pretty obvious to me. There will be a wipe if, and only if, it's absolutely necessary, so don't expect there to be a wipe and they'll announce "Hey, we have to wipe the servers due to *this* reason. We're sorry for the inconvenience" if there has to be one. If I were in their shoes I wouldn't want to say "Yes, there will absolutely be a wipe" when there might not be, and I wouldn't want to say "No, there absolutely won't be a wipe" if there might be.

    You want them to tell you "yes" or "no" when saying either of those things might take them out of the frying pan and into the fire if it ends up being misinformation. threea is handling this perfectly from a PR point of view.

    guess this can be closed, since we only will either see memes or stuff that was mentioned already. I see no point in this theard anymore, because most questions about the wipe were answered.

    I have been enjoying the game quite a lot and made such great amounts of progress and friends! ;D


    Great story and great gameplay and really good music. I also managed to acquire some very good items.


    I haven't really experienced much problems except for minor delays when entering missions, where it sometimes wouldn't load, but that's about it.


    I sure hope they don't wipe though since I've made a lot of progress with a lot of my friends T ^T....

    I do agree with you over how it would be unfair, but I'd still prefer if there wasn't a wipe. Probably because I have a low patience tolerance, so I don't wanna have to try getting everything I previously had, back.

    But reason why we made so much progress so quickly is cause we play strictly together. It's not that new players are left behind, but it's because most of them choose to solo and play by themselves. Also most of the crowd isn't that far ahead either. Those who get the furthest are the ones who have been playing together and taking their time to farm gear and upgrade them.


    Also it's a lot harder to try to solo the levels after level 9 alone. You're going to have to play together anyways, so no doubt they will have to wait till others catch up.


    Plus we've already made friends, not only that but a lot of people kind of claimed a lot of original names already, doubt they'd want a wipe as well.

    Adding on to what Infinity said, it would really piss off a huge portion of their current players, they will definitely take it to Steam and the reviews and ratings will plummet. xD


    This is a really good game too. 10/10 if it weren't for the lag and latency issues, which will be fixed eventually and it will run flawlessly, but if they reset and do a wipe, then that's too much.

    That's great and all but it's not about you making progress quickly it's about how much time passes until they say "okay its real open beta now" and we get our rewards.


    If anyone joins at that point it's unfair that everyone else who played in the beta who was rewarded with the outfit title whatever else gets to keep levels aswell.

    As for being for or against one.... I don't really care in this instance honestly.

    Well if they are going to do a wipe, then they better do it fast, if they wait too long and a lot of players make a lot of progress, then they will be furious.
