Game takes literally 10 minutes to actuallly load.

  • I have a pretty good setup:

    • Processor: Intel Core i7-5820K
    • OS: Windows 10 64 Bit
    • GPU: AMD Radeon R9 390 Series
    • Motherboard: MSI X99S/MS-7885
    • Memory: 32GB

When I launch the game, it does the splash for a couple seconds, then loads the window with only a black screen. Then it sits there. Originally I thought it was just crashing, but I learned that if I wait about 10 minutes (literally), the game actually starts and goes on like it should. My friends don't have this issue. While one of their PCs it worlds better than mine, the other two have significantly "lesser" systems, and have no problems like this.

I've tried googling, but I found nothing. I run the game as an administrator. I originally had it in Windows 7 compatibility mode, but it made no difference.

All of my drivers are current and up to date and I have the proper C++ etc. installed as well. The game is also not blocked by a firewall or anything. So I'm not really sure what to do.

    Thank you for your time.

  • In case you have a mechanical harddrive and not an SSD, try defragmenting it. If the game files are very fragmented and the harddrive is rather full, loading times may become very long.

  • Depending on if your running 'Steam Client' or the actual 'SW' Client, I guess it can vary, personally Steam due to the ability you can verify the cache seeing if there is any faults or technical failures within the game but if its Technical Failures within the computer then using Driver Easy is something helpful to get your stuff updated :p

You creatures who have fought with strength, violence, blood and death,

What is the difference between you and the dumb beasts?
