A genuine question to gameforge

  • i would instantly fire you from the position if i were to lead a company, because you have no clue how this business works. Releasing content early? Everywhere is better? get a grip already.

You buy publishing rights from a game in the eastern world to release slowly their content, knowing that the game is fairly doing well in the east. Doing what you want would work well the first 2 months, then clearly kill the game because there's nothing to release anymore and having people complaining about it. Why? Because they are used to having quick updateintervals. Stop looking to stupid kr/jp and say how much better they have it, you just being egoist as hell. Try yourself and go over to there and play games, you'll be happy to see an update once every 2-3 months, which some events that don't bring fresh air into the game. Stop spoiling yourself and everyone here to stuff that don't matter at the present.

Also given people don't understand the difference between a publisher and developer really makes my hit my head against the wall. You asking for fixes and stuff that people in korea have to implement after getting a huge sum of money for it, potentially delaying future content even further. You can sure spent money into this business or start working there if you really want to fix stuff, but guess writing here is more convenient.

TLDR: go to the whatever version pserver jp kr wutever and enjoy content there for like 1-2months, before quiting, i really can't deal with people who only think for themselves. Telling community manager to spoiler content or release dates, learn patience or quit already lol

  • learn patience or quit already lol

    you are funny

GF must update content, we have been waiting a lot, the game is more empty every day, they are not taking care of it. Go go GF, wake up > _ <!!

yes my fun factor is over 9000, seeing that the argument that comes up all the time is kr/jp has more content - captain obvious would be proud

    ------------------------------

the game is dying right? like FFxiv, WoW and BNS is dying too right?

  • They are just stating why they feel like that, no need to be that one douche

  • Can we all like, just take a break and see what happens in the next few days before jumping to conclusions?

we can. of course, the problem is, the economy is still falling one day more, and more people leave the game cause we dont update, and one day more is very important, but ok, i just say GF must wake up and hear the SoulWorkker community.

I do not know how I can still trust in GF, but I still trust GF can to fix the game.

    We must be united.

    We can do it.

  • Ok funny sir.

    You've had your glory minute.

    GF must wake up.

  • Maybe if we get Devs and CoMa to actually listen like Nyoka did >.>

    :iris1::iris3::iris4::iris2:

  • Agree Vitae Nyoka was great person on the team. But we are also making noise in the GF offices. Im sure.

  • The problem with this project is the lack of experience and information about game.

You don't need to look far away to notice that, for example the new RNG boxes only have costumes for: Haru,Erwin,Lily,Stella,Jin, and they realesed few days before iris(or that's what we all think), this is a permanent event so what are doing the martketing departament or the marketing manager is a real clue of lack of information about game.

And on the other hand the new costumes "FOR THE WORLD CUP FINAL" have iris costumes but nobody can buy it because iris is not released yet, this seems like a joke because if they goal is to make money they are only losing it .

  • Well said, I don't think Gameforge will change, but we can still hope they'll do something

  • yea jeje :p :stella3:

  • Yay, another thread. Don't worry it will fall on deaf ears anyway.

Kinda wanted to make full response to this thread but after 15 minutes of writing got bored and realize that i'm not playing but trying to rationalize an empty complaint. When you care, and they don't it really burns your energy Vitae , not even mentioning how it builds frustration and kills your joy to play.

Honestly, there is so much other things to play right now but instead you choose to burn your time and effort on this particular version. Don't waste your time with deaf people, just leave and that might be the only gesture they will recognize.

  • I think GF does usually perform maintenance every two weeks (from what I look at other schedule maintenances which is why it's extremely slowing down since 5 months) but I have to agree on some point that they really need to communicate with the community and developers immediately.

We don't have enough information we desire to know about future contents but I can clearly see that they wouldn't share with us I assume. It's all up to them, we can't do anything but telling them to speed up and release contents is pointless.

I know it really sucks that we're still waiting for more future contents such as Primal, lvl 60 content etc, and lastly Iris, one of the most hyped characters which is due next week possibly.

  • I understand the desire to vent in threads like this one, but does anyone here really think that any substantive changes will be made because of anything said on this forum? Barring an actual miracle, GF will milk this game for as much money as they can until it's utterly dead. It's easy to see why too--loot boxes and (overpriced) cosmetic items are exceptionally profitable. Offering new costumes in the cash shop is much easier to do than provide (new) actual game content. In order to get new costumes, people have to purchase them with actual money in the cash shop before any of them even become available on the market or via trade. On the other hand, once Iris is available, anyone with an account can play her at no additional cost. Providing new costumes on the cash shop is, more or less, a guaranteed source of money for GF and requires minimal effort. Releasing Iris, by itself, does not immediately make GF any money. It's unfortunate that our version of the game is being handled this way, but no amount of forum threads will dissuade GF away from their current strategy.

It would be nice if they were a bit more transparent about the future direction of the game and etc, but hoping for even that much will almost inevitably lead to disappointment.

  • Well for those of you here who's not familiar with gameforge yet or new to gameforge, they have the histories and same issues with their other games, specially Tera/Aion and I recently saw/checked this website and yeah, there's some recent reviews you might find helpful click.

As for me well not only me I guess, they are so lacking on things that they should do, and what other publishers mostly do nowadays.

Things they should consider when publishing games, mostly all publishers now do :

Yearly Roadmap/Event Callendar - for upcoming events and contents. (MUST)
Official Discord Server - this involves AMA question and answers, hosting community event's.
Dedicated GM events - doesn't have to be frequent, once a month is fine also. GMs spend like an hour or less just running around the world of SW isn't a bad idea as well, Dance party etc.
More Communication with the Game Developers - this is the most important here imo, some of the patches we got didn't have the right patch notes and we end up brainstorming on what changed etc. total negligence on GF's part. (MUST)

Selling cash items are fine but make sure add something new aside from it like contest and events etc.

"Make those kids who stole his/her mom and dad's credit card worth his/her effort."

  • Also the other thing is I would say considering I player back in open beta when it first release, I've known about Iris for that long and would usually consider myself fairly patient. The problem is not being given a date or a roadmap of any sort really makes people question. They dont care how badly they scatter their community because they know even if they delay Iris by a month, people will still come back just to play her, they have the advantage @Edited Rhaegal

I was a player back in Open Beta also and have been waiting for Iris since then also but yesterday was a holiday for the US so you have to keep in mind that maybe there was nothing announced yesterday because no one was able to due to the offices at GF being closed. All i can do is wait for more info like everyone else

Gameforge is in gernamy not US so its the exact opposite, if there was an holiday in the US it was a good opportunity to have all the US player able to play Iris on the first day.

  • Hello everyone,

we know you are really looking forward to the next character release, but you need to understand that as in every game, same in SW, there is a certain schedule that needs to be followed. Releasing all the content at once or within a few months is not possible as everyone can understand. It's not only the translation that needs to be taken care of from our side, but numerous tests, fixes & checks from the whole SW team, in order to assure that the content we deliver to you is working as it should. We spoiled Iris because we are getting closer and closer to her release, something that will make all the people that are waiting for her for so long happy and the teaser is a hint for you to prepare for it. In no way a spoiler/teaser is a "lie", or as someone mentioned "giving false hope to the community", because that would mean that we spoil her but don't release her ever, which is definitely not the case.

    Cheers,
