Which Stat is Better: Armor Break vs +% Damage to Boss?

  • Between Armor Break and +% Damage to Boss, which stat is better when hitting boss?


    On weapon, +% Damage to Boss has always higher number than armor break.


    1) On brooch, armor break has higher number than +% Damage to Boss stat. Which one I need to prioritize between the two stat?


    2) +% Damage to Boss stat use base character damage or overall damage (with weapon damage) ?


    3) Are both stat useful for Akasha card? (such as grutin army, rita)

  • 1) Armor break is better. The stat works against all mobs and the more armor break you have, the more effective it is. At minimum, it should be 2% armor break for each % of boss ( not sure about the exact calculations but this should be about right ). Smelters will always be better than valours at any stage.


    2) %boss uses overall damage.


    3) Yes, they are.

  • I'm gonna guess this is for Primal prep and if so I'd say Armour Break. Although both stats are very good on a weapon you can substitute the lack of Armour Break on a weapon by using smelters. It really levels to a point how you want to split it or if you even want to bother with Boss Dmg

    For Catherine card, that give flat 17% damage to boss, actually less useful than crit % card ,right?

    Depends which crit card honestly, if it's shade I'd say keep Shade however from my knowledge I see Everyone run Catherine if they have the card (for primal of course)

    Catherine is one of those cards that just really (personal) DPS contributes in primal.
