What's up with Iris?

I agree with this to some extent because I main Jin n Jin never had this much going for him when release which makes me kinda salty about it but whats done is done. IDC. Also games that have gender specific classes or gender choice n customization, you should know that female characters are always fan favorites especially in the Asian countries much like KR n JP. Why u think Haru n Lilly have the most expensive gear in the market compared to Erwin n Jin at least in NA?

Also nothing wrong with giving freebies even if its cloths everyone got outfits for playing open beta. Isnt that what events are for to have players do missions or whatever to get rewarded for doing them? Thats not bumping sales down because I assure you a lot players have already spend $$$ on Iris already with hair colors/outfilts. Also this event is bringing back players...Besides you can get all the stuff you listed in the Market. To even get the iris outfit players have to play on Iris and reach to round 7 which basically means players will keep playing which is probably the reason behind it. To Keep Players PLAYING.

In terms of battle/skills Idk if Iris is better then the other dmg classes because Im still lvling but I would say that all the characters in the game have somewhat equal playing field. Most of the characters are good at something better then the other in the game. then we have haru which is jack of all trades but master of none type.

Im just saying what I think.....not a big deal to me....it saves me the trouble of buying an outfits with 3 slots in the market for brooches....

-I mean give or take that the hand cannon was implemented in a lot of other games... The guitar is pretty unique though.

It would be even better, however, if I didn't see parts of the other characters in every one of her attacks.

Stella focuses on range and also has to focus on healing her team. Lily, Jin, and Haru have many close range attacks that subject them to more damage taken than Erwin and Stella, but sometimes it's a burden for them to have range attacks. Iris has both range and melee, and could probably do the story by herself.

-They're probably only picking off gold buyers. Rightfully so. I've heard that the ban only lasts 7 days and your DZ is wiped. Honestly, if I was incharge I would just perma ban them. This is fairly light what Gameforge did. Most games don't even allow you to come back if you do something like that. So be fortunate that you can even come back to begin with.

By reading the start I thought this was going to be "I dont like the character because gameforge gave us free stuff" how tf is that the characters fault for one. Your dislike for her abilities? Don't play her then, no one is forcing you to.

ps: Technically the other characters have techniques of Iris' considering she's the only character to remain from the original 'project soulworker' reveal.

Totally agree. They should have put 20 euro/buck paywall on her, reduce bust size and cut leg length in half in name of censorship and heaven forbid give anything for free. In fact should have not released her this summer but at the end of the year, that would teach those filthy fanbois to demand a character they like.

Here is my take on Jin thing. He was released alongside with Golden Citadel, at time when community wasn't actively demanding events, which was easier to them just to spew content and give a free silver prem with items via code. So nothing like Iris sprint that was just released. Another reason is demand. Jin was looked forward to, but he never ain't as popular among players as your Harus and Lillies. While Iris was practically begged to be released. So much so that people would have loved to skip content and just implement her before everything else (like housing update, Danko the Gronco). Now months later she is here, and she came with a bang!

It's given that it's kinda unfair expecially compared to Jin and pretty much like for the rest of 4 chacaters, which never got sprint events. Which genuenly sucks, you have my sympathy. But then again, she was released almost after half a year into the game in NA/EU. People need little motivation to catch up with her. As in terms on power, she is actually actively lagging behind in terms of damage compared to like Lilly or Erwin. Not to mention how squishy she is. She is anything but overpowered.

Besides give it few weeks, and people will chill from this Iris fever and return to playing other chacaters or just leave playing other things. You wont be seeing 4/4 Iris parties in GC or Last Carnivals. Well, atleast for long.

Subject of more characters, Try suggestion thread. Steam forums had long-ass thread on demand of another/more male characters and it's quite valid one. However Gameforge only publishes, it doesn't create.

Get enough support from community on it, and it will be only a matter of time before they consider implementing another character. Which i entirely support btw.

As for blocks take it to support. It's been weird since more bans been handed lately, but then again if you are caught with interacting with gold sellers and complaining afterwards that ''why i was mystically banned for no reason?!'' should be taken with grain of salt. If you have someone banned for using prem shop cuz of region block thing is entirely another animal though.

-Main target demographic is Korean and Japanese males. Most Korean and Japanese males would rather play girls (especially so for the Japanese since female characters are fetishized there with the new era of anime sub-culture). So, yeah regardless of if you know some people who would prefer boys over girls the market still stands true to that statistic. The game is built on that philosophy. Which is why the ratio to begin with is 4:2. Soon to be 5:2. The alpha of the game didn't even have any males. Majority of the teaser posters from earlier versions of the game contain females. If that didn't market well then Liongames wouldn't have made it so explicit in every corner of their work.

I don't see how your gender comes into play, as long as you just like a character but if that's what you like I have no right to bash that.

-Not so much my gender but my sexuality. My sexuality plays into this because it stimulates me to dress a female character up in attractive costumes. Play style isn't the sole reason why most people play characters in RPGs. Especially when a core feature of those RPGs is "playing dress up." This is the whole reason why costumes for females are generally more sexualized than it is for males. Just look at Haru's bunnysuit you can basically see her *****. It's so it markets better towards males so they can get more money from you if you are a male.

I just hope you aren't someone who only plays the girls because of the many underwear views (because apparently Jin and Erwin can't buy boxers), short skirts, and revealing outfits that virtual underaged girls have.

Yes Iris is pretty slow but Lily glitching must just be your laptop/computer. My Lily is fine, and her skills only glitch when she gets hit while performing them.

-I wish it were just my laptop/computer so I could switch to one of my other computers and easily solve the problem. It's just a thing with Lily across all versions of the game. She seems to be a "badly programmed" character. I assume it's because Liongames doesn't have a fair understanding of how to code summons yet. And that's Lily's core play style. This is their first game after all.

I just have to wait a few seconds afterwards. However, Stella is far from boring. She has a giant demon following her, and her story is enjoyable in my opinion.

No, it's not. Those who got blocked were informed to go contact support while those who got banned were just told they were banned. Blocked makes it seemed as if it was a bug or an in game issue, where as banned gives the impression they did nothing wrong and they cannot do anything about it.

But could you prove that they did? Are you saying that everybody who got banned had been proven guilty to buying from bots?

-No. But, I honestly feel that majority of people that did get banned were actually caught buying from bots. Didn't happen over night, no. But, if you break a rule it'll eventually catch up to you. Not to mention, it's not a hard thing to trace. Gameforge just seems reluctant to actually go through with it completely. Which is why various problems occurred in the game such as the inflated market... Especially if you're NA. Honestly, I think they waited too long because now the damage has been dealt and there's no reversing it. Even if the prices stop going up they'll stabilize at a high amount that benefits no one. And as the game further progresses and the game gets harder and harder to compensate for max grade gear the game will eventually turn into stat-vomit and the average player won't bother trying to play Soulworker anymore because of the large wall it'll take to go over to even start enjoying the game. And at that point the game truly is dead. This is all because of a ruined in-game market. Everyone is saying the game is dead, the game is dead now. It's not. But, it's inching ever so close to that margin. I've seen it happen countless times. I even called it out in a forum post within the first month Soulworker came out here when everything was affordable to everyone. Unless something is done now then you'll be playing a game that will be fated to shut down before it even reaches its 3rd year.

They only have a lot of money because they constantly do raids and don't have much to spend the money on. They're hardworking people that would never cheat themselves by buying it.

My statement still stands though. If you actually did do it you deserve everything you had coming to you from the start. You're literally ruining the game by promoting gold buying. But, if you're just a victim caught up in the chaos then you do deserve justice. But, there's no way you or I can prove that. And just taking someone's word isn't the most logical thing to do either. If it just boils down to taking someone's word then there would be a heap of issues that'll occur.

Maybe they should start at the root of the problem like the bots in Rucco town. However, I do agree that 7 days is very subtle and they can just buy the DZ again.

-Clearing up the rooot of the problem wouldn't be by banning the bots in Rucco Town. Those things will spawn until the end of the game's days. Even if Gameforge were to pick up the pace significantly more. Clearing up the root of the problem would be to instill fear into people so they wouldn't dare do it again. The way you do that is by consistently cracking down on people that actually do slip up and make it known. Gameforge knows what they're doing by banning a lot of people after one patch. Because now everyone is flooding the forums about it. So, people that actually flirted with the thought of buying gold will feel more hesitant now and may not even go through with it. If there's no fear of consequence then everyone will eventually be tempted to do it.

This is just my opinion but:

Iris is fine and not better or worse than other characters. She have pretty long animations and many skills locks you in place and/or can't be dodge cancelled. She also have basically only one CC, because another one require you to sped ton of skillpoints for maxing plus extensions and again it still locks you in place and provides poor damage output so it's debatable. So while she have something from other characters she also lack in something related to them and still provides unique gameplay.

I have a friend blocked and she was talking about how she can't use prem shop because of where she lives, but she's the only one I can reference who's been blocked and is in a blocked region. Do you know if this block is any different than the ones in non-blocked areas?

If you live outside of allowed regions you can still play as far as im concerned. Problem comes from using premium shop or vpn. That puts you into GF radar and they most likely will ban your account. As for random blocks that people complain about i do not know.
