Haru class concepts [Maths later]

  • Berserk: Oh well we could change % damage to a fix stat since fix stats scale better 20% are 340 damage on lvl60.

    20% attack speed is insanely strong.


    As I said I'm a very good balancing designer, I'm one of the best mmo players with tons of experience on the highest diffculties with worldfirst kills and a lot of pvp experience.

    Should I buff wind rupture by 1000% more damage instead?

    Seems like SW is your very first mmo (I'm not blaming but it feels like it to me, if yes its absolutely fine)

  • Haru is an extremely boring, 2 ability = main DPS character right now. The purpose of this rework is to reduce how much Haru players rely on those 2 skills and make it more about her using her whole kit. Also the Stance alterations are a much more interesting implementation for Haru. It allows players to have the sense of management and smart play with Haru. Knowing when to alter between the two.

    Yagyu4k works hard on these and honestly instead of just slamming the guys ideas I think it'd be better to leave something more constructive. Even looking into the numbers a bit is possible if Yagy feels they may need tweaking.

    Additionally Yagy, a possible suggestion. To make Haru's like frequent switchings, maybe reduces the cooldown of any abilities currently on cooldown when she switches ^^

  • No SW is not my first mmo, i understand your work, i know its only "suggestions" and that's ok, i dont know who you are, and i dont care who you are and about your "tons" of experience, you can think of yourself as a "good balancing designer" and you can be a "one" of the best mmo players, i wish you good luck ;) i have no offense on you, i only answered i am at "No" to that suggestion, if will look different then, maybe.

  • with all respect and no offense or doubt to your skills and experience and big kudos for your effort but if making changes based on the comment of a few players in the forum and simply altering certain values when 1 or 2 disagree or have a different idea about it...:/:/:/ The [math later] part is a bit concerning in this case it might feel like altering just based on what a few player like or not then somehow someone have work the right value out later... wont it be better if you guys test the value in a test server or if not at least a self developed combo dmg simulator

  • hmm I think it should half the cooldown of any skills that are currently on cooldown.
    E.G: Rain of Blades is on 22 cooldown, if you change stance it reduces to 11

    then again I'm not sure if that'd be too strong o.o

  • Mmm maybe make the cooldown reduction differ on the kind of ability?
    So ones that are good for spam/ actual combat combos get a massive reduction where as powerful abilities like Rain of Blades still get a reduction but not as much?

    • A defensive combat stance that reduces all damage taken by 25%, and all damage you deal by 20%.
    • She is able to block and parry attacks
    • Blocked attacks have a chance to reduce your cooldowns by 0.5 seconds.

    Therefore she get 5% additional sab in berserk

  • Absolutely not. Don't turn Haru into a generic World of Warcraft warrior class, battle stance,defensive stance, berserker stance? You serious? This is ridiculous. Stop copying things from other bland MMO's it has no place here.

  • I personally like haru as she is, though some of the changes u stated would be nice, one example being the static buff from blade breaker and arena storm, but removing the sf buff from blow up and turning it into an attack is just stupid. your basically saying any haru player would need to get hidden ava to do any decent sustained damage because her sf consumption is harus biggest downside. Also your burning reductions, i dont agree with, burning isnt all that powerful in late game, i basicaly use it to increase my combo. the wind rupture changes i also dont agree with, wind rupture is a staple late game damager. i have no idea how you play haru, but i dont even know how you would implement a stance change, her left click is for sf regen. i think shes balanced as she is, each character has there own niche, harus is burst dps, not sustained. Plus u also have to realize something, Haru is meant to be the beginner, lowest difficulty class, and with introducing mode changes, your making her a higher difficulty rating on par with stella. So all in all i dont agree with changing her, i like her as she is.
