We need 2 more males to balance it out. If there are more characters coming, I hope they are males.
Also, there's already a shield character which is jin with his advancement. Yes, it is not actually a "Shield" but the concept is based of that, he got the concept of one.
However, I would like to see the spear class come into play, with the usual lancer hair style. Also the caster/mage don't look bad either. Both are original and can play a role that haven't been played yet.
Display MoreHey, to clarify, this is done out of pure fun and obviously don't expect them to be forwarded to Lion Games (although it would be cool)
Share thoughts in comments, would love to hear any criticism.
Additionally leave a comment on what weapon you would like to see with a soulworker (try think outside of the box)
If I like the idea I'll pick it up and try work with it.
Notable mention: Yagyu4k works pretty actively on character reworks. Make sure to give him support for his hard work and motivate him

These characters I tried to design in mind with new and old content. As well as the raid concepts I have been designing with Yagyu4k [Special thanks to you]. If you are interested in reading this new raid concept click the link below:
Future Raid ConceptIntroducing Kuyo Shirigaki:
The spear based Soulworker build off melee and momentumDisplay MoreSoul Weapon: Soul Spear
Depending on the attack, the soul spear adjusts it's appearance. With Slash based attacks, the Soul Spear transforms into a Naginata, with jabbing/thrusting attacks, the Soul Spear adjusts to an ordinary spear.
Character name : Kuyo Shirigaki
Age: 19
Kuyo, son of the head of the Shirigaki clan, was born solely to lead his clan after his fathers passing. His father whom died at a very early stage of Kuyo's life left him scarred and left with the burden of ruling over the Shirigaki clan. Kuyo always believed doing what he was expected to do would make his father proud and would be exactly what his father would have done in his position. By the age of 14, Kuyo had already managed to maintain peace between some of Japan's notable clans, such as the Yuma clan.
Kuyo's arrival causes him confusion with the meeting of Shiho:
"Have I met you? I'm sure I know you"
Because of the way Kuyo was given power at such a young age, he refuses to be bossed by SFL higher ups and does things in his own manner, not letting anything get in his way. This usually leads to Kuyo being noted down as "Reckless and disobedient" by Captains and Generals of the SFL.
This high and mighty behaviour Kuyo has for himself and his clan is shattered by his inability to save Catherine from being victimised by the NEDs cruel tests. Scarred by being forced to end Catherine's life and unable to save her ended up making him more obedient with the SFL. However, this was at the cost of him behaving 'Zombie like' as the judgement which had always been correct in the past failed to save Catherine, so he follows the SFL thinking "they know best". At this point Kuyo is extremely terrified of making his own decisions and doesn't want to lose anyone else, he feels weak and inferior in every single way to his peers. Luckily, with the support of his operator, Chloe, she is able to build Kuyo's confidence once again and allow him to make the right decisions. From this event Kuyo realises that he should not only follow one judgement, but many to create a perfect operation.
After Kuyo's encounter with Ravan, Kuyo chooses to bring Ravan's defeated body back to the SFL for investigation. This was from Kuyo's judgement that Ravan may become a useful ally in the future, whenever that may be.
During his battles with the blood soulworkers, he has an honorable and respectable response to his victory for each, instead of treating them as lower beings. During his battle with Nita, she chooses to use her Blood Nova. After seeing such a display of dedication Kuyo realises the the blood soulworkers are putting their all into helping Abel achieve his goal of meeting his mother figure, Suzie. Because of this realisation, Kuyo later chooses to destroy the device to kill all blood soulworkers putting everything on the line just to preserve his humanity and to protect Nita, Naran and Abel.
During the beginning of the encounter with Suzie, Kuyo mutters the words "You'd make a strong ally to hammer that pig"
Kuyo's behaviour with most of the other soulworkers is respectable and neutral, apart from his small conflicts with Lily Bloomerchen and his hostility to Iris Yuma, a member of the opposing Yuma Clan. However, shortly realises with overtime interaction with her, that she never cared about the Yuma Clan, she just wanted to live her life how she wanted to, and not be bosses around. Kuyo is respectable to her opinion on the clan matter but also calls her foolish for abandoning her clan in such a way.
Due to Kuyo practising with a Naginata in his family dojo for an extensive time in his life, his experience with pole weapons is already "impressive".
Here is a few things I need you to clarify with a few suggestions, keep in mind this is my opinion:
-Is he 19 or 14 when he enters the void? / I think it'd be better if he is 19 when he enters, that'd make him the eldest which would correlate with his role/
-Where's the backstory, before the void? For background, my idea would be how everything in his previous life was a simulation of the role he is fated to take. Every achievement and recognition he achieved at young age fed his ego that eventually he took pride of. Also, Usually there's a personality that stands out before falling into the void, might want to give some thought into that while working on his personality.
-His personality, I have an issue with it: You named him to be "Reckless and disobedient" because of his leadership at such young age which contradicts the responsibility and personality of a leader. Someone who is raised as a leader is the one who is the most matured and make the most rational decisions. All of his life has been a simulation of the job that he will eventually occupy. It would not be rational to give the lead of a reputable clan to someone that could turn out like that. I would recommend change his reputation.
-Addition to his personality: As I mentioned before, there is a trait that stand out in all soulworkers. As I remember, we got: Sorrow(Stella), Passion(Jin), Anger(Iris), etc. (Can't remember the other 3, I might've switched one of those though). From what I've read it seems like the most fitted one would be Pride. After all, he is a leader, he should carry the clan's pride in his shoulders. This would change the "reckless and disobedient" to "self-aggrandizement yet confident and reliable." However, that's merely my suggestion, but I do think this is best since it correlates more with his role, trait, and overall personality.
-Perhaps, change his first name? Here is my reasoning on why I think it should be changed:
For most of the characters, their names actually have a meaning and they live it up to its name:
Jin: Stands for "Gold" in Chinese.
-Origin: Chinese
-How? Jin's theme revolve around being one with a "golden" heart. His color theme is gold-like/yellow. "Gold" which is a precious, unique metal, one of the rarest metal to be found. Jin is the "Gold" among people, he is someone with a heart that has been recognized by people in his previous life before the void and afterwards. A man who sacrificed once for the people, and willing to do it again if needed without hesitation. One of its rarest kind among people.
Erwin: Stands for Handsome and fair
-Origin: Anglo-saxon
-How? Erwin personality and look is definitely one of a handsome one, we can see that through the story. He also is "fair" when it comes to opportunities and such. If he gets turn down he is fair about it. "Handsome" part is self-explanatroy, so I will explain the "fair" into a little more details. In his story, erwin considers most of his decision fair, as one that can gain as much as you lose, as if it was a game.
Haru: Means "Day" in korean, "Spring(Season) in Japanese.
-Origin: Japanese/Korean
-How? This foreshadows Haru's personality at the beginning, one that reflects the day/spring ( full of energy). Spring is the beginning (after winter, winter symbolizes the catastrophe she suffered before the void), then summers arrives which could symbolize the arrival of events and how she tries to adjust to them(High Temperature). After summer comes Autumn, when the leaves starts to fall off of the trees, in this case haru's personality as you progress the story. Then, winter when the trees' lives are over(Haru stopped caring, no personality). I tried to keep it short as possible
Stella: Means "Star" in Latin
-Origin: Greek/Latin
-How? As we all know, a star is a fixed luminous point in the night sky. The "Luminous/bright" part of the star represents happiness and positivity; however, we can't ignore the "night/dark" part. This reveals its dependable relationship between the two opposed things: A star can't live without its darkness, to shine the star needs to be surrounded by night. Night/Darkness symbolizes Stella's inability to deal with her depressing past, leaving her in the darkness(Not knowing anything). She can only shine while being in the void of darkness.
Lily: Represents Purity and Innocence.
-Origin: Greek
-How? If you have read Lily's story, you should know that Lily was pure and innocence(and still is). Throughout the story, Lily is a flower that will eventually "bloom," however, due to the unfortunate events, it had postponed this phase which unconsciously forces her to "guard" her pureness and innocence by putting up a persona to avoid more damage than has already been done.
Iris: The "Goddess of Rainbow"
-Origin: Greek
-How? I still have not played Iris, so I have to work with what I know which is her previous life before the void. Like the Goddess of Rainbow, Iris decided to "switch" sides due to her personal reasons(In this case, disobeying her parents to do what she believes). That's all I can get for now.
Hope this can help you. Stories well thought throughout are always a good read. Feel free to tag me or quote me if anything.
