    Indeed, I'm not a big fan of RNG upgrades but otherwise grinding, farming is completely normal in mmo's.

    WoW tbc > fire motes farming for round about 12 hours in a row > DaoC 4 weeks non stop farming for my transmog.


    This is a huge part of mmo's and well SW is even kinda chilled compared to other mmo's

    The game is super grindy just to obtain rng stuff and then what you obtain will screw you over with rng every time and eventually lose motivation because there is no pay off for wasting your time grinding in this game built entirely around unfair rng. :p

    The grind would be super ok if rng wouldn't take all your effort away, I'd better grind double the amount but be sure that I will get what I grind for, as it is now, you spend lots of your time farming materials just to play casino. If upgrading system had mechanic where you gain upgrade success rate by failing, that would be super ok, because player would know that his hard work wasn't thrown away for nothing although he failed to upgrade, he knows that next time he will have bigger chance to succeed thus making player feel like he actually achieved something...
