Whether you think it's sad is irrelevant. It is reality that most games cannot produce enough content to keep up with players. GC was just out earlier in the month and I'm already bored (as well as a lot of people I know) running it over and over. That's why a lot of people are saying it's harder to get groups now. And meanwhile, player population continues it's decline. Events is a cheap way for the company to entice players to keep playing (especially minimalist events like the Easter event we had).
As I said before, it is BECAUSE we have a lack of content that we need events even more so than other games that have more content.
- I'm not saying events are irrelevant.
- The Easter event was garbage. So bad. Simply SO bad. imo GF needs to allocate more resources for their events.
- Having something to buy from the market is also a window towards making progress. At the moment Candus is dead in this sense.
Farming in this game also needs a tweak.
Like, the non-premium currency side of this game and the premium currency side of it need to be more interdependent. I feel that, at the moment, cashers don't really have a reason to cash in big amounts (and the release of primal is not going to change this).
PS:
Now that I think about it, the balance between RNG and consistency is also screwed up. It's screwd up in the sense that, even if you load up with the intent of gearing up, you're likely to get very inconsistent results off your investment, all across the board (and this scares people off). Like, sure, you can convert fashion into raw money ... but then what?
One easy step in the right direction would be to remove the soulbound function completely, thus allowing vets to sell their already tuned-up items to newbies who would pay for them. Does this make sense to you? And there are a billion of things like this that need to be adjusted, you can't have a great game when you don't even have the basic elements.
