Gameforge can learn from Ncsoft's Blade and Soul. They literally removed RNG from weapon uupgrades as they know the western audience isn't gonna stick around long for these type of things. In the Korean version of Blade and Soul you still have to deal with RNG when you upgrade your weapon.

not saying ncsoft is perfect but at this aspect they do really well (altho they do have event bundles which allow whaler to get ahead of other player but hard grinding player can still reach there just much slower) and the other aspect which mentioned before in the forum alrdy is the an currency sales rate in market

well... RNG lootbox is one of the method that many western publisher use when they publish an asian mmo because they [i think] wanna earn the same or more profit than their asian publisher counterpart ... they are running business after all but like i mentioned before different region required different business method (and such menthod doesnt go well with EU and NA region) ...Furthermore by enabling the server region restriction... it really give GF a run for their money in achieving the profit target because UAE players cant pour their money into these RNG boxes

i remember another mmo that i used to play... also a Korean mmo that shut down in korea in around 2012 but still manage to survive even up now despite the p2w rng etc etc etc...why? because UAE players can spend up to 1000USD per month without a blink of an eye on monthly basis and if there's event then they spend more.

Could somebody with a working permament Sprint! event tell me, if there's a big difference between this event and the Iris Sprint! event?

i dont have it working in my server EN Candus but i checked the event in another server NA....cant remember the exact item from iris event but worth noting items are: 1 skill reset, 3 akasha transmitter and More brooch transmitters (or whatever their exact name are)

threea can you make it a bit clearer?

Is it the intention of making the 'permanent' sprint event only 6 times or is it a mistake from the technical team side and it will be fixed to be unlimited?

threea will Harus at least get a skill tree reset with the advancement update?

Not in the place to confirm it but I'm pretty sure it is part of the last reward for completing the advancement quest along with the costume as every server has it.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, the 100% progress for GCC also gives Full Skill Tree Reset ticket. (or it's just bSW?)

On completing the advancement quest in all versions your skills are automatically reset, I assume this will be no different.

If we do not, it would be a blatant indicator that GF is milking us of money

about the 100% I can't say much, but that sounds like a BSW thing

the ultimate test to see if GF is sincere or not... since without reset means almost every player will have to buy skill reset apart from those who plan it based on skill advancement right from the start

love the comment on the video tho:

"those are the alts you have deleted just to farm akasha and anti destructions and now they are back to get revenge"

Did they delete one of their posts or am I hallucinating? I thought I read a post that said that we will get advancement (in order) for Haru, Lilly, Erwin, and Stella this year and Jin/Iris next year. I don't see that post anymore..

i think it was a post from another user, not an official post... remembered reading it too

From my point of view as a mmo player who came from SEA region and have also been staying and playing (on and off depending on my RL) in EU region for almost 6 years now i wanna say 2 things tho:

    1. Publisher for F2P mmo(almost type P2W) from the west should not expect to earn profit like how asian based publisher do because the mentality of player is different across region but using a more befitting business model

    2. Asian game developer team should also consider the pattern of how western players react to updates etc and not be rigid on using the same update scheduling methods etc.

Due to these 2 reasons, i think many big name Asian MMO didnt really survive long in the western region

tbh the excuse of LG consist of only 8 person dev team isn't gonna make the community less frustrated actually...

As far as business concerns, if you have too many costumers to tend to or tasks then increase your resource (or in this case a bigger team or more team)

it is understandable that it's all part of the contract for publishing, i'm just venting my disappointment as least ... not really mean to blaming any party... generally speaking, many of these kind of disappointment in mmo especially mmo from asia published to the west [i think] is due to the different mindset of publishers, developers and player base...

thanks for the input ... that's quite disappointing and i think it is not a very bright decision if they really treasure their player population. So by the time iris get their advancement maybe alrdy more than half of haru player has gone hiatus or left... i think many players like me who are semi casual are more interested in new changes to classes rather than grinding late game

i hope they release at least every 1 or 2 week 1 advancement because if 1 month only 1 then it is really sucks

as for personality trademark... a source of idea could be the 7 deadly sins or the opposite of them as some of the existing class alrdy possess some of it

As much as I like this idea, the previous 6 classes do not follow that concept or pattern. Starting it would result in completing it which would be 7 additional characters which is very unlikely.

not exactly to copy the idea and implement it blindly but you can surely alrdy see traits of pride, wraith, greed and small part of gluttony in some characters' personality if you go through all their dialogue while doing quest... using the 7 deadly sins or 7 virtues as part of personality creation concept plus... since it's community creation classes, so there's more fun to it that expecting it to be really implemented

would like to add a side note/follow-up just as a friendly reminder... this is what i personally do:

watch/reference not just from 1 video or 1 player but watch a few video from different players and note the differences because there's is no an absolute way of playing any class... By watching several different players you can compare and contrast it and find which build/style best fit you (or you will even make your personal build out of them) and also always ask a few different players or better - test it yourself when you don't understand why player A max a certain skill or priorities a certain stat but player B has a whole different preferences.

Just a heads up....SW skill sim is updated for Iris. go crazy

    thanks =) 8o

now i'm thinking of this iris skill build after taking reference and also asking some korean server players

    was previously indecisive on

1 . assault dive VS pulse fire (they mentioned that pulse fire dmg was nerfed in on of the patch so i decided to go for assault fire and it's also shorter cd)

2 . limit break VS eternal abyss (at least limit break feels not worth it to max based on what i tested)

3 . Earthquake extension - volcano vs fire pillar (depends i guess....what do you guys think)
