    I was bored waiting for server to revive lmao D;

    I don't get what's so hard to understand about this. Lets use a scenario.

    You buy tickets to a baseball game this Saturday, planned and set aside time for it, only to be told it MAY be cancelled due to bad weather. The final decision lies with the home team's manager, and won't be made till Saturday itself.

    YOU CAN'T ASK "WHERE IS OUR TRANSPARENCY". No one can control the weather, and no one knows what the weather will be like till Saturday actually arrives. They literally. Don't. Know.

    This is the exact same situation. It can't be predicted what issues may pop up, like this exp gain bug that needed a patch. If enough of these happen to skew the progress of players, there will be a wipe. If not, there won't be a wipe.

    The only thing I agree with is that it was a bad call to release the game on Steam before proper testing. That's just shooting the game's reputation in the foot.

    But as for why they aren't calling it a closed open beta, or why did they not run an alpha or closed beta period, who cares? Whatever they call it doesn't change the fact that this is an untested environment. As I mentioned in my previous post here, everyone KNEW from day 1 they were going straight to Open Beta, which means it was almost confirmed there was no serious stress testing or build testing done. Did you all honestly think you'd get a polished, bug-free game right from the get go?

    Closers Online had their Alpha on a closed selection system, and their Closed Beta was PAID ACCESS. That's right, people knew they would potentially experience all the same issues of crashing, bugs, delay, etc. that we are right now, and they paid MONEY OUT THEIR WALLET to do it.

    Understand what a beta is. Understand all the implications, connotations, and complications that can happen in one. Your time is wasted? You can't play because of crashes? You can't deal without knowing whether your progress will be wiped? Tough luck. Gameforge is a company, they can deal with the consequences of their mistakes like Steam release. You as the F2P player have lost absolutely nothing other than time and effort put into a game that had "Beta" tagged in its release from the start.

    Its the different between sheathed and unsheathed weapon stance. Haru is a super derp running around town, but press X to draw weapon and suddenly she's a swordmaster.

    So yeah, if you wield your guitar in town you can get shoved by ghost doggo too.

    The exp rate does seem to be lower than overseas. But this is understandable, they want you to play more lower level maps and find any underlying bugs, like that weird auto-party glitch in Showtime yesterday.

    I think either would work. It'd be a little sad to lose my effort, and even moreso for people that got good drops, etc. but starting everyone from a blank slate once all these issues are worked out is a fair request.

    "Unfortunately, this commitment to quality and the best player experience also means we have to postpone the Open Beta to Q1 2018. We had hoped to finish a number of tasks faster, but in the end we rather invest more time and money to make SoulWorker an even better game than rushing it out of the door in a less than perfect state."

    Quoted directly from their facebook post regarding the delay.

    You can see that their plan was to jump right into Open Beta from the start. You cannot hold a stress test without a beta, because you need the population to provide the stress.

    This is a BETA. Beta means its a testing environment. By you playing this game, there is an agreement between Gameforge the Publisher, and you, the Player. Gameforge benefits from you testing out the game, finding the issues, the bugs, the instability of servers, etc.

    YOU benefit from being able to play the game, make progress and learn the mechanics, and the Open Beta rewards that you get when the game launches officially.

    If you do not agree with this, please leave. No one is forcing you to sit down and play this free game.
