My guess is Gameforge never thought this game would live that long anyway, and putting effort into stopping a private server when their own server has a big percentage of the fault for losing players doesn't exactly sound like profit to a company. (Minimizing cost and maximizing profit) If anything, GF should improve their own server first before thinking or blaming the private server for anything. World of Warcraft had private servers too, but players never went there for too long, because Blizzard has good prestige, and players realize they won't have that feeling of achievement if they stay on private. Might be a bit unfair to compare this game to WoW since it is one of the longest living and largest MMO's out there, but oh well.

Let's stay on topic please.
While It would be great If NA were to be merged into EN with the rest of the EU players, but it seems unrealistic for what GF will be willing to do.
Some players were worried about the difference in dz economy/inflation, but that applies to all servers that are going to be merged soon. There is always going to be a side that suffers from that economy.
Lots of players say "NA players spend a lot of money on this game", while I cannot say how much more or if it's even true comparing to current EN, If it is true, wouldn't that be healthy for economy since there will be more SIN/BSk brooches in circulation, which are some of the most demanded items in game right now, and eventually lowering the prices due to higher supply?
More sellers will try to undercut each other, and buyers will benefit from it.
So all I am asking for is a character transfer service another thread with a poll has also mentioned.

I am French players but I will bring my opinion ..
The problem is not just ping.
How do you want to WORLD BOSS ? and the pvp arena ?
I rather not be able to do those than to have a dead server with 3 parties during Gronco buff, I could careless about Gronco and Rift Arena being based on European time. Like I said, my suggestion is that they should offer it for those who don't mind the downsides of being in an EU server while physically in NA.

Edit: I know this post will be neglected by most who pay attention to forums, since It does not concern the majority(EU) and only the minority(NA). Have fun EU, and good luck.
The upcoming server merge has been what kept me in SW for the past 3-4 months, and as a NA player,
"My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined."
The biggest issue we had in SW NA was, still is, and will be the lack of active players. This issue was promised to be resolved by the staff, but unfortunately not for NA.
While I understand that there is the whole issue with PING if NA were to join EN as well, but leaving us out of the merge just means the problem will not be solved. We should be at least offered a chance to move our characters to EN If the player does not mind the delay. The community has been small enough for all to know each other, and I have only heard them talking about moving on and leaving this game behind upon being informed about this EU-only merge.
Few months ago, I heard about the server merge news and put some effort into gathering and meeting people from EN, DE, FR, PL, thru their forum guild advertisements here, made a Discord server for that purpose, became friends with them and had been looking forward to play the game with them soon. But I guess all of that was for naught.
I guess this is a goodbye from NA endgame players.

So I'm assuming the limited cards (Suzie, Naran, Nita, Yumi, Amanda, Catherine) will remain in their own pool (not Neosanctum or Regular Transmitters)? I don't think this question was ever answered or asked by anyone.
I've bought one of those 50x Akasha packs once when I first started this game in April, thinking that the x2 Limited Transmitters guarantees 2 of the Limiteds of the time (Suzie Naran Nita). Never once have I ever bothered with that again.
I sure hope gf does not try to pass the action of adding those 'Limited' cards into neosanctum as the monthly "New card release'.
