So I left the game after my friends left and my guild crashed but after logging in to the game again I want to come back; so what has changed... I see they released the other character's patches... Home... an arena... Anything else; any advice for getting back into the game?

Not currently supported. They hope to have a way to link normal to steam. no idea if steam to normal will be possible.
-
They should select some player moderators whom basically exist to kick out these guys cause having to like file support requests and wait for a GM to actually be on to kick them. Just an idea.

It's because they dont have the license for the region. See the message above me. At this point anger and anything else would be meaningless. SEA region has a publisher so Gameforge can't rightly infringe upon that region.
I know but they just why not launch the game with the block already on, and just announced this on a maintenance on the forum... just a excuse to say so we forget to block you guys...
That is a question no one on this forum could likely answer for you. I am sure even the CMs/GMs would not be authorized to talk about that even if they knew.

when the game right now isn't the normal open beta quality at all.
I'm not quite sure I get you, to be honest. Can you elaborate? I feel the game's in a very playable state as it is right now. Without you providing some more information as to what exactly you're referring to I feel a bit lost in this discussion...
Most open beta have a closed beta leading up that already has most issues solved from testing. If we had a closed beta probably a lot of the server issues in NA EU wouldn't have happened. Not to mention steam users vs stand alone client users wouldn't have a lead. After closed beta they usually do a wipe and then people in obt are free to play and usually a lot of issues are fixed.

Really don't understand how to explain this game is less than closed beta quality, like if you've played other closed betas and open betas you can easily see this game is not in the standard open beta quality.
Servers are trashed every single day with d/cs, not showing up at all, going down randomly.
The cash shop doesn't even open unless you're on EU.
This game just isn't the quality of a real open beta which is usually the release quality, what we are playing right now is a huge server stress test and nothing more.
Okay; so yes there was no CBT or AT at all. With that said the state of the game itself (not login servers, character servers and cash shop) is stable. They should have done more testing but they did not... The game itself is playable and while the other errors are annoying do they reflect bugs in the core game itself. They do not. The game is in good shape; once they resolve the login, character and cash shop issues the game would actually be in a state for release. This is just my opinion but this whole releasing games with errors is a Steam thing... Blame Early Access if you want... Releasing things with bugs is commonplace in 2018. I would say just go with it... At least once you get in game it is functional... Load balancing... Such is life.

While people may have issues with the quality of hte login services, cash shop and such the game itself is in a very playable state. That being said no wipe when the game is playable is reasonable... Plus as was just said above me there was a statement by Gameforge that they did not want a wipe if at all possible. So; no wipe just confirms what most already knew.

That should be clearly noted in the title. Keep in mind; I live in America and can read English. I have worked as a CM and a GM for games and websites before; players and community members will not search 13 pages for an answer; neither will they look through every thread for their answer. An announcement such as "Notice about IP Blocked Regions" would get their attention and could prevent 13 pages of rage.

Ok, can we all calm down a bit please? There's no need for such behaviour.
I'd like to remind you all of the Community guidelines. Please stick to a normal behaviour. Thank you.
There has been, I even quoted it a few posts ago. Here, I'll quote it again for you:
Note regarding IP block: Players from regions which are not under our licensing rights unfortunately are not able to access our version of SoulWorker.
That should be in an announcements area or zone where people can easily find it to prevent massive text walls of rage. Posting one note in a 11 page thread minimizes it actually ever being seen by anyone who would actually need to see it.

Sadly I do not believe this will be a thing.
-
I don't believe there has been any official message on this yet... Can anyone give clarification as the site and steam seem to show it; maybe an official notice as opposed to 182328 rage posts.

So I had a thought of a forum I have not seen... How about a "looking for" forum; sure there is a guild recruitment area and an auto finder for parties but shouldn't their be a place to look for friends and search for parties yourself that does not involve spamming the town "lobby" trying to fight with goldsellers for chat control...

Not like I care... but the discord link didn't work <<;
Invites are closed right now like Soulum said

why not just make an option to turn profanity filter off? some people dont really care what people say. and those easily offended just leave it on?
The fact that there are even people who get offended by reading swear words should worry you more than anything. We live in a time were most people get easily offended, they should be ignored, especially in a game. Profanity filter shouldn't even exist. -text removed by team/against community guidelines-
I can still say some pretty nasty things in game, but god FORBID I say server.
legit though we should have the option to turn it off, I'm 22 years old I don't need you to hold my hand and tell me what i can and can't say in a video game.
Server is such a bad word; so is group... Somehow that was filtered in one of my conversations; no idea why or how... Error... But yeah... at that point lets filter the word filter... it triggers me... Not being a troll here just stating realistic expectations should be set; you can't please everyone's PC-inner-being I mean if you want to do that just censor everything like I said before. (Come on; we are playing a Korean game and your a European publisher; you all laugh at how PC America is... Don't join the US censorship bandwagon just cause you can guys...)

Hello,
I think it's important to have a chat filter to moderate general language and also make people know what they are aloud to say and what not. However, the filter right now is not even perfect and as said, has so many words that need to be whitelisted. Lets just wait and I am sure they will keep adjusting it until we have a very precise chat filter.
Rhaegal.
I agree with what FBIWatchList says, atleast add an optional setting to turn off the filter, we aren't a bunch of toddlers playing an anime game. We don't need curse words censored. Most games with a filter have an option to turn it off, it shouldn't be that hard. It seems a LOT easier than making a whitelist of words that wont make children's minds explode. like the worst word of all... "server". Yeah, you guys did a good job on censoring that disgusting word.
Exactly. Not to stomp on the staff's parade here but there are those of us here that are 16+ and are adults who can make our own decisions (and have credit cards which can give you the publisher money since CHILDREN that this is meant to protect cant legally have cards; appeal to adult audiences... Plus Loli chars but no option to opt out of censorship... Eh...). Plus this forum has things on it that would fall under that censorship; so either limit the censoring and give people the option to uncensor or censor everything... You can't really have it half way; its either an all ages children's playground or its not. Plus... Not everyone here is NA-sensitive. Half the world has much worse than "censored ass" on cable television and the school bus.
