How's it going? Reached the cap yet? Still struggling to get out of Rucco Town? Wherever you may be at this point, I have a small question for you all.
How are you liking the story so far?
Weird translations, spelling mistakes and all that stuff aside. Let's talk about the story. Do you read it? Or are you one of those people that just skip everything, reach the cap and then laugh about anyone that thinks the game has a story? Or are you someone that takes their time, reads through all quest dialogues and reads the conversations during a dungeon run?
Any parts of the story you particularly liked? Any favorite characters? Favorite quote? Parts of the story you didn't like? And why?
I will start!(this thread is going to be spoiler-heavy, so I won't bother using spoiler tags. Proceed at your own risk!)
I only started reading the story around the time where you get to the Laboratory and NED Company's evil deeds are shown for the first time. It's probably because of this that I don't really feel much towards what happened with Catherine. I'm a huge sucker for stories revolving around human experiments
gone wrong, so this sparked my curiousity.However, later on, in Grace City, I was giggling over how cute Yop and Rawper are (I can relate to Sora, she's my spirit
animalNPC)and then, just a few chapters later, Yop died and I realized how close Medo and he were. So this hit double as hard. The abscence of my favorite NPCs within the town hurts me greatly... But I'm glad this game decided to do it right. In other games, you would still see the NPCs standing around like nothing happened. Kills the mood kinda.I should've seen the death flags. The fact that Yop couldn't bring himself to apologize properly was a flag, but I ignored it. Ahhh, the sweet pain...
So far, I'm liking the story. It wouldn't win any prizes, but it's definitely one of the better stories I've read in games throughout my ~15 years of MMO experience. I also like that the quest diaolgues are slightly different for each character. I cannot stand Erwin, for example. The fact that he needs to flirt with every female individual and needs to make sure every guy he comes across is aware that he is totally, absolutely not gay, annoys me quite a bit.
Favorite NPC going by looks is probably Victor...err, Luke III. For the girls, it's Lex. Storywise, I like Toru a lot. He's a goofball, despite his age. He looks kinda serious in his uniform and with the beard and all, but he is a child at heart and doesn't fear to let it out. Seriously, I love this dude.
Really stoked as to what's going to await me at Ruin Fortress!
I agree with you. And with the favorite NPC I love Lex too then Ava, for men it's probably Toru too for his sense of humor.

I personally don't care about using heals unless i see someone use potions and dodge properly, the players which get hit with almost every attack are now even worth bothering about. Who said Stella MUST heal anyway? Yes she can do it but can just go full dps as well. Never did see someone complain about it yet (atm only 47lvl), best way to avoid raging players is just to run with friends/guild mates.
Exactly. Stella just happens to have heals and her skillset is made that way to differ from the rest of the classes.
You know, It's been a long time since I've seen a "The dps are retarded" Esc thread in action MMOs.

They might be broken, yeah. But in my opinion, the intention of this existing is for people who do not have much time to play a.k.a casuals so that they can catch up to players who play for hours straight on a daily basis.

Stella is not a pocket healer. Learn to dodge and drink potions like no tomorrow like in "Dark Souls". Because if you become reliant on healers unless you are Iris (
Not released yet..... ), you become complacent on being hit alot and relying on Normal Respawners/Premium Respawners... that in turn gives GF more money.

There's dumb people everywhere, he shouldn't even be surprised to the point of making a thread about it, specially to the point of letting raging people affect him.

First of all, did you even read?
- Please don't go suicidal on a Manic boss specially if you have low stat armor and don't know how to dodge a big attack that can OHK you then blame Stella players for not being able to heal on time.
- You can always click your Meds for heals too.
- Stella players don't play strictly on just healing the party.
- Just because a Stella player beat you for rank 1 doesn't give you the right to rage on them.
- If you're going to No-Life a game then kindly learn how to play properly.
- This is a game and games are made for fun.
- There's a limit to being stupid.

I never said Stella is full support, in fact, I made sure to pick the words saying she has the capability of supporting.
I do not play Stella, but if I did, I'd always consider healing people so they can keep doing damage (specially if their output is higher than mine) instead of complaining they want a pocket healer on the forums. It's all about the situation. If I judge healing will be the best way to improve my raid's performance, then a healer I shall be, no petty pride involved

Does anyone know or have a list of current available AR cards in the game? Specially for 3-5*. I have yet to encounter more than 3* so I'd like to know since we are yet to official release. Wondering if I should save up AR cards or just roll whenever possible.

How much did you all spend on your hairpiece?
I've kept 7M in the bank, just waiting to snipe one.I advise to farm some more and rest it on the bank. Since there's a sudden rise in inflation, players will keep selling for a high amount at a time.
Stella's hair was even just around a few million then suddenly rose to 7m+

^This. In Grace City they clearly mentioned they found a girl, white hair, and all the package. They were clearly talking about Stella. I was like ''wow, so, it means that story-wise, all 6 people actually coexist together and fight? I can't wait to meet Stella''. Level 50 now, she was never mentioned again... I legit thought I'd meet every other character. My Lily needs someone else to vent her anger on.

The Game states she was blamed for it, not that she caused it. Unless there is an ingame conservation proofing it, in which case I am interested in a screenshot, that is pure speculation. I highly doubt she did, it's either a natural phenomena or it being caused by the experiments of the NED company, seeing how they are involved in almost everything, makes more sense to me.
True, and <spoiler> old man told Lex how this drove Stella to voluntarily enter the void knowing the danger of it instead of hating people cause she thought that her being gone will make people happy.
Edit: Yes, I believe NED has something to do with it too. Due to the fact on how they are connected to every incident happening in the story.
Stella is the one who caused the Great Void. If you finish certain story progression in Grace you have a special interact with Lex as Stella.

I had already read that ages ago, and it doens't clarify anything, nor is it clearly stated if she's actually the culprit :/.
She is the one responsible, she's the only one capable of doing it then. She's grown up with her Howlers and after much abuse and sadness she opened the great void wishing to find a new world.
Sadly, that isn't it exactly. <Spoiler> Stella was special. Much like people existing today. We have psychics and spiritualist that can see spirits and speak to the dead and some other unknown. And just like some or most of us, we see this as nonsense and treat them as freaks. People blamed Stella for causing the void because she's unique and was unable to accept her. She was the oddball, the weird girl who's the only one that can see and talk to her "friends" back then. After the void, these things became more normal and thus, if you played Stella, "they" never want anyone to talk about her past because this led her to suffer alone and "sacrifice" herself for the good of people.

-pls pay attention to ur hp bar, we ARE healing you, you just don't notice it (even my friend says i dont heal when i do)
-pls dont take orbs for the dmg boost if an ally needs the heal
-pls take orbs if u need the heal
-pls dont run in to the boss with 3k/30k hp and blame me for not healing (what's up with this? even if i wasnt healing u should be waiting for ur pots anyway...)
-pls stop running from me when im trying to heal you
-pls stop trying to facetank everything when you have a stella, we have delays and cds on heals; stella is there to compensate for you taking unavoidable damage, you shouldn't be running into bombs expecting heals to save you
stella players:
-pls stop proving the meme true (ive run with a lot of you in ruin fortress... most of you actually don't heal)
-pls dont just hold left click, you have like 97 skills
-your 5 orbs aren't just for healing, you can use them to mob too (another note: pls dont drop the orbs on the opposite side of the map and not tell ppl and expect ppl to know theyre there

Display MoreI can totally sympathize with OP. I was a Satella main myself. It gets incredibly frustrating when you're playing with dumb team mates:
1. They expect that Stella will heal them always, and they don't dodge enemy attacks.
2. They don't know that if a Stella focuses on healing, she can't give them SG buff, so they end up autoattacking the boss because they run out of SG, which just makes every run so much longer than it needs to.
3. They keep dodging when they're on low health, and they also dodge all of Stella's heals (yes, you can dodge healing skills!), and later on complain that Stella doesn't heal (she did heal you, but you kept dodging all the heals, dumbo).
4. They take 3-5 healing orbs inside Primal Core when they really needed only 1 or 2, which makes other party members die because there's no orbs left for those who really needed them.
The most frustrating part is, even if you calmly explain what they're doing wrong, most players won't learn from those mistakes and won't listen to advice of more experienced players. Some will even get triggered that you had the nerve to criticise their gameplay and try to give them advice.
Finding understanding and thinking party members is an exercise in patience. The sad truth is, majority of players are braindead kids or manchild who don't respect their teammates. The end result is, dungeons take 2-3 times longers because of their stupidity and lack of willingness to improve their gameplay.
