So for me I was really excited for this game. I played 188 hours, of which i spent roughly 50 in the log in screen trying to get my name back, I gave up after 5-7 days, and the problem still persists, there is a thread on that, but regardless of me being upset I still played this game and enjoyed it.

I am Max Level and can clear any content that is currently availible, my friends as well. We can do it solo or in group it doesn't really matter. We bought several Outfits from the AH, completed Steele Graves, farmed all the Soul Sequences, and have now kinda distanced ourselves from the game. I currently watch the forums from time to time, get my Log-in Bonus, maybe run a couple of Dungeons to increase my Progression, but there is currently nothing that keeps me interested to play the game, because I finished it. Of course any completionist would argue achievements and leveling all the characters, and getting the very best gear, but I can clear anything. I have cleared all the content they released. There is no need for me to get better gear. So while someone said that MMO's usually die after investing 1500 hours of game time, thats totally okay. But not after investing roughly 130 hours. A tenth of what this person said. Could probably substract another 10-20 hours for standing around (not the mats) just getting the log-in Bonus.

So I am really hopeing for a bigger Update. My friends as well. We have already turned our backs kinda to the game, not because its bad, but because there is nothing worth while to do.

So somewhere in this forum there was a statement made that although there is no preview in the Cash Shop, there are High Quality Pictures of the Items in the purchase, so that we can get an idea of what we are buying. With the Clouddream Pack however, there is little to no information how the costume looks on the characters, other than Haru.

Additionally the big Advertisment picture is misleading as it does give a slapped together picture of the costumes, but the Hairstyles in the Pack are not displayed.

Gameforge should at least give an idea of what is being bought in the Cash Shop with said High Quality Pictures, if they cannot give us a preview, for every character, not just the cover girl.

So the reason why I find this important is because I recently hit Max Level, finished all the Raids and realised: There is actually not much to do. Let me make a list :

    • I do not need better gear to clear Raids/Steel Graves, I cleared them, and therefore I have no goal as to why I should farm/craft better gear.
    • Achievements do not give (except for the few titles/cosmetics) any Bonus that I am inclined to work for.
    • Grinding Cosmetics, is just grinding for cosmetics, there is no real goal here (plus I like the way I look).
    • Finishing Soulsequence is a completion thing, which might buy me 1 more day since I did most while leveling
    • I am not interested in any other character other than maybe Iris who won't come out in forever.

Yes, many of those listed things are personal, but that doesn't neglect the fact that other than grinding for Achievements, Progression Completion, there is no hard Endgame content that I struggle with or that gives me the will to continue playing. There is no Goal that I want to reach.

So I might be happy for another week or two grinding and doing nothing, but without any updates, any additional goals, it's going to get really tough playing. This is why I believe a statement regarding the Update Speed is important. If there won't be any Updates soon, I can leave, come back in a month or two if I feel like it. If however there is a nice juicy content Update just ahead, and Updates will come every roughly 2-3 Months until we are caught up with the current KR Version, it might be worthwhile sticking around for longer.

Now again, I know this is a personal opinion, not a well written unbiased critique or tips on how to keep players playing the game, hell I, inclunding my friends might be the only people who think this way, but I still wanted to express myself regarding this matter.

I hope that updates come fast as well. Especially the two characters that are missing and as fairlyn said, more of the end game content since there isn’t much available yet.

I’ve been wondering about updates in general as some of the systems like loyalty, housing, etc are missing. Since I don’t know what got released when I assume that these were semi-core systems which still have to be added to the beta. I believe that Jin will launch quite soon given that items for him are already dropping in Steel graves, I would hope for Iris to come out as well, but I doubt that both will come out roughly at the same time.

But a general information on what the update speed will be would be very nice to have.

I am so happy that it takes some time to level up. Lately in MMO's you got to max level within the first day of release. I believe when Destiny 2 got out I had 3 Chars on max before the first week was over. In Soul Worker it is nice that you don't get to max level ASAP, and that it takes time. I actually enjoy the Mat feature a lot because it makes you take a break etc. So having these EXP rates are actually very fun and pleasing for me.

I'm not so sure about this, so I can't confirm anything. But I feel when I sit back in the Dungeon, or if I am not able to hit a lot of enemies then my rank is definetly lower.

Some things that do factor into the rating are:

    - Time

    - Combos

    - Hit/Damage Taken

So for Stella's its generally easy to have a high combo, we have a lot of multihitting skills, and at least for myself, do a little less damage than your typical Haru, Lily or Erwin on the same level, which lets us combo even higher. This gives us an edge in getting high combos. Time is generally the same for the group, and the Damage Taken is not such a big problem if you tend to stand in the back and heal.

I would assume that Damage counts, and would hope that Healing counts as well, but even if Healing counts, it could count healing through pots as well. So I can't say for sure, but I don't believe that Healing factors into the rating a lot, if it does at all.

I have to say that I haven't had such an encounter yet. I thought this community was actually quite forgiving. I had some really bad plays and thought I'd get called out, but I basically just had friendly chats so far.

I did have nasty experiences in the past though, being a main healer in almost every game I played. This sounds pretty stupid but if you know you did everything you could possibly have done, just leave the flaming be. More often than not, people do not rely on Stella heals, and that because everyone who plays this game solo for a while has to learn how to cope on their own. I have actually died because I wanted to heal someone who kept running away from me, and I ended up in some nasty crossfire after a stupid chase. I should've put myself first, I didn't, I died. The other guy survived though, so thats good.

If you keep your cool throughout the game you'll enjoy it much more. If someone complains about your healing, make a joke about it, it might lead to an interesting conversation. Mechanics that involve people running into a heal generally work really porly, that's just something that has always been this way. Voice Chat helps coordinating, but believe me when I say that some people are too stubborn to walk the extra 2cm on the screen to get to the heal.

But overall, I would like to thank everyone else who has stayed clam if the heal didn't come as planned, didn't rage about a misplay, and keeping a positive attitude.

anthonysolaris Great post, also a pretty good read. You have some really good points regarding this matter, and kudos to you for keeping the discussion going, and addressing specific points in Zodai's post. I hope people read this too, and don't get afraid because of the length.

You don't need 5 5* Transmitters to be epic right? There are plenty 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-star Cards which are great. Look into the Database if you want more details.

The rates seem fine for RNG purposes, I mean it's nothing that you haven't seen in mobile- or gacha-based games.

I'm unhappy that there is no preview either, but personally I think it looks cheap too and doesn't match Soulworker at all. In this case I woul've liked to see that the Interface of the Cash shop has some unity with the ones we see ingame. The entire layout is very outdated in my opinion. So even if we will never get a preview, the Cash shop should have a revamp to make it look appealing, and like it is part of the game.

You can actually achieve Grace City 100% without having all Dungeons on 100%. I don't know if this is a bug but I for example have Area 9 on Clearence Level 4, and reached 100% Clearence in Grace City.

Someone claimed that the maximum amount of characters for a guild name is 10. I believe that claim is in the Guild Guide.

These things aren't hand-crafted items and they have no expiry date. They're strings of data that get enabled on your account when you buy it.

This is something that makes me upset. I've seen it a lot in this thread and let me explain why:

As a fellow 2D and 3D artist, I can assure you those things are made by hand, that these are crafted by often more than one individual when the item is moved through the production pipeline. Yes you are correct that these items might be digital and can be reproduced, but everything from the concept of the item, up until the final release was indeed made by people. And is does take serious man hours to produce a new skin. May be not all eyecolors and haircolors, but everything that differs from the original character model for sure.

So please refrain from making something seem unvaluable if you don't have a clue about the effort behind it.

Are the prices still too high for the work of the models? Yes even in my opinion they are. But that doesn't mean that people should make something sound and look like it took no time and effort to make, when it is actually quite the opposite.

Of course the question is for them. This game, this type of Free-2-Play with Microtransactions Business Model is something they have to make work. This game is an end to make money. They have to make money in order to keep the game running to make even more money. This is still a Business, and a business that has to work for them.

They have to make the choice if they would rather sell 10 pieces for 50$ each, or 100 for 5$ each. Its a Business model and they are testing it, so the question is: Will people buy it with the current pricing? Are we turning a profit? Do we, as a company have to adjust to the gathered Data?

Well the real question for them is : Will people buy it with the current pricing.

Prices for Skins, Cosmetics etc have gone up in almost every game over time, and people kept buying it. If enough people are purchasing items from the Cash Shop with the current prices, they will not be inclined to change them.

Additionally Hair, Eye Color etc can be traded, this encourages the Ingame Money trade for Items from the Cash Shop (Cosmetic Trade) which is popular in these types of games. It also allows people to change their RL Money into Ingame Currency.

I think if they keep the current freebies in the Cashshop, the game is good to go. You have 200 Energy Dailiy, plus an extra 100 through the Vitamin, plus 30 through your own mat. Providing every other players means if you share across 5 people that you will have 150 Energy over a time span of 2.5 hours.

If you want to maximise your energy even more you can purchase 2 Vitamins that give 50 Energy (Grutin Shop) which yield another 100 Energy.

Adding all these things up you have 400 Energy through Vitamins only, and 550 Energy by sitting on 5 Mats with the Energy. So instead of trying to change the system I think we should just ask for the freebies to stay. The Mats alone are awesome, and it still makes you take a break every once in a while.

And additionally if you do not burn through the energy Vitamins you can just store them, and use them when you want to play heaps like on weekends.

No I am pretty unpleased with the support tbh, they sent me a message a day ago claiming since I have the name again (which I don't) that they will close my ticket. I complained. The message I recieved after wards was that they couldn't help me because I have to link my Steam acc with my Support Acc first, so they will close the ticket again.

The name is still not availible and I cannot link my steam acc because the Option for this is missing for me (buggy I guess). The name still isn't taken, nor availible, and the support just ditched me with excuses.

I consider a high level player not helping a low level one to be a good thing. While it may sound nice at first, that player will not learn how to control the character probably. Mistakes need to be made. In other words, that can have negativ effects as well as it is simply leeching.

I Agree and Disagree. If its a Max level player helping a level 1 Character yes, the Level 1 Character should first learn how to play himself before getting "carried".

But currently I am behind my friends roughly 2-3 Levels (we're 40+) there are some quests which are for [hard] or [maniac] difficulty and I have trouble soloing them (don't want to risk a respawn), and the general playerbase is not queing for these quests since they are focused on progressing. If there was no Fatigue System, they wouldn't have a second thought about running the Dungeon again with me, with the Fatigue System they don't want to help as much because it would set them back.

So yes I am against leeching, but I am not against helping someone out.
