I'm not too familiar with Maplestory mechanics, but Is upgrading stuff only possible through cash shop items?

Most everything related to weapons is obtainable at a slower rate and even the difference between a free players gear at a decent gear level vs a maxed out player isn't quite that enormous.

I have heard horror stories about how abyssmal Brooch sets and their additional effects are, but it's hardly a make or break you upgrade that's required.

Just in time for me to hit the sack. Joy

Edit: checked in at steam discussions. I guess they were sleeping?

    Good morning!
Right now I cannot tell you how long we need to bring the server back, but I will keep you updated. Thanks for your patience!

If I knew these were all the hairstyles ingame and I had to pick one and just settle with it, then I would be fine. The problem is that isn't the case and it's possible that I might want future hairstyles and it turns into a mess of more money than I want to pay.

Sure if you really want it, then you'll just pay, but maybe it tickles my don't spend too much for pretty things on a screen bone

If you can establish your clear definition of pay to win for discussion, we will likely get somewhere rather than go in circles.

I'm pretty sure Pso2 has you buy a hairstyle then you have to use ingame items whenever you want to change appearance.

Rather than losing the hairstyle, it's more of a Charge you for changing anything payment

I do have the strong feeling that someone in upper management thought it was a brilliant idea to hike up prices for high short term revenue and didn't think much farther than that.

I might be forgetful, but I could have sworn I got a green weapon drop in grace city with a xp boost.

You have to remember this xp boost only goes towards monsters and not quests/etc, and you're giving up quite a significant bit of easy damage.

Regarding the costumes being priced differently, it just seems like an odd thing for a company to do. Usually you'd have a standard price and outfits would more or less be popular depending on seasons/style/etc.

But here, it's like GameForge already *knows* what you want to get. Pssh, who needs standard pricing when you can just markup the most popular outfit and make cash?

I would have to think Gameforge would have to make concessions soon. It seems kind of hard to see how there will be many people paying for things at all and I assume they would rather increase sales at a lower price point instead of dropping their investment on the ground.
