Literally within a couple of hours of logging off and going to log in again I now can no longer launch the game or repair the standalone launcher because of this apparent error:

Please assist, as I've seen nothing around so far to explain what this means/what the problem is.

Edit: I've also uninstalled the game and deleted it's folder and reinstalled it twice with no resolution of the problem.

Oh so you ARE on the roster?

That sure makes your opinion more valid because you came back after we left.

Dude you can't even prove that he didn't do any of the things he did because you left because you didn't feel like you were listened to so why are you even stepping up for him when you aren't even on the roster anymore?

tfw someone rationalises people leaving as trolls being trolls rather than admitting people left because he was a complete cuck.

    Gg.

I don't know the full story but that doesn't mean the way y'all dealing with it is any good..

but you don't care, right? ;)

Cyno has contributed much to our community in terms of memes, lols, and the fact he picked up the slack taking over the community Discord where no one else wanted to or was qualified to deal with the diverse group of people that ended up gathering on there.

    > Aziath made an off-topic thread hoping people would tell him how relevant he is.
    > Just had it confirmed by people that he's actually completely irrelevant.
    > Decides to bash everyone as slaves and hos because he can't accept that people don't like him as much as he thinks they do/should.

Tbf I kind of opened the door on the whole Cyno thing because I mentioned him in my intro.

I was piggybacking on the name he's already made for himself by saying I know him but tbh I'm pretty amazing in my own right, too.

What, Jin's the biggest nice dude who has 0 female experience and goes into a stuttering frenzy interacting with them. Last I recall, he actually was an aspiring martial artist whose dream was cut short by the void invasion.

If you want to talk big ego and panty chaser you'd have Erwin who flirts with everything that even resembles a female, including monsters.

I guess my boi Cyno completely misrepresented his personality to me when he was playing him then because he used every opportunity to make Jin look like a dirty old man. xD

I'll be fair and say that I'm not Portuguese but Cantonese/British but I used Portuguese/Spanish because we have an ES server even if it was a bit kak handed. English may be easier but I think some people find certain things easier than others and it also depends on where you grow up and what you're exposed to IRL. People who live near borders or in big cities would probably find it easier to adjust/adapt to different dialects and languages.

The point of what I was trying to say is that even if not every country in Europe gets their own server to chill with their own people that going to EN isn't their only option because who are we to assume that they might not know another language well enough that they'd rather go there.

Nah, my friend plays Jin and I always make jokes about how into himself he seems lmao.

I'm talking about written which is the main way people are going to communicate with each other ingame through shared words and grammar. I know that Portuguese is the harder language to learn/understand speaking wise but a lot of time when writing you can find common words and similarities where you can understand better than just settling for somewhere you have no understanding at all of what's being said.

If the individual is not fluent in English it would be easier for a Portuguese speaker to communicate with a Spanish speaking-community in writing than it would be to just go to the English server because there's no specific Portuguese server.

I was using it as an example not as a conclusive answer.

Because NA is gonna have to house everyone and their mums, aunts, and uncles. Even EU players who want to hang in American time/groups.

Basically we're gonna see both what happens when you put everyone on one server, and spread everyone across many.

The servers aren't being divided by country, though? Each server for corresponds to a common language people can gather/socialise over with many other smaller countries/languages being close enough a linguistic relative that they can also join that server if they want to rather than "they're just left with English".

Like Portuguese people will probably have a better time on a Spanish server if they're not fluent in English because in writing they share a lot of words and can understand each other. I also know that there are a lot of similarities among certain Eastern European languages which include Polish (I have a Lithuanian friend who learned Russian and Polish by ear literally because of the similarities to his own language) so several different communities could end up gathering on the PL server 'cause it's easier.

Just because there isn't a server that doesn't obviously cater to you by name doesn't mean that English is your only option.

At the moment all of this is conjecture and theorising anyway.

The game hasn't even been released for Beta yet and as far as I'm aware there hasn't been an official release date set for anyone to start booking time off work for release.

I'm sure that if they are as involved as I'd like to believe that the team sees threads like this and considers it.

Although I'm not sure how likely something like cross-dungeoning will be as I'm not sure how much they'd have to change/deviate from the original version of the game it'd be nice to have the option, sure.

And lol, you can't tell people that servers are gonna be "English Only" because that's basically a challenge to certain people to break the rules.

Also, even if they merge the servers later, at least they can do it after the initial "omg a new game!" buzz where by then people who've lost interest and such can drop off and even some premium property names might be freed up for people to use.

You're worried about communities dying out before they've even had a chance to gather and form. There's every chance that certain foreign communities could thrive and compete with the English ones of their region. You don't know.

As much as it's good to be prepared for the worst case scenario it's waaay better to be prepared in case interest is greater than expected. Having to prepare for a future server merge when population settles a few months after release is a lot less painful to a company than having to deal with an overloaded server that's at full capacity with a load of angry players who say they can't play at all due to lag etc. let alone community complaints too.

    Hi,

    I'm Cinna.

I'm turning 26 this year, female, and I'm from the UK (and yes, I have an accent).

I got introduced to this game by my boi Cyno and last I heard we're going to be playing on the NA server because that's where all the magic happens! (apparently )

I have a long an extended history of playing MMOs and other random stuff on mobile and other platforms but my most preferred type of games are (MMO/J)RPGs and I love playing support roles like healers, buffers and stuff with the flexibility to do damage, not just straight damage or tanking-types. (I like to back up my teaaammm!)

I like to talk, socialise, and get involved with people where I can and have the time to and hope I can become a staple part of this community. :)

I'd also like to say ahead of time that I take very little of what goes on online seriously and I have a very "British" sense of humour but I'll try my best not to upset anyone.

Looking forward to getting to know you all. o/
