Probably because there are people like me that avoid discord like the plague it is.

But everyone uses Facebook because everyone in their family is as well as their friends.

If it’s ran properly it’s not a plague.

OK I'll give you that, just like a web forum if it's managed properly it's probably is fine. Being heavily voice chat focused though it's rather hard after the fact to for mods if they are not present all the time to keep control as what happens when a mod is not present is just hearsay.

I discord only being really useful to me as far as playing a game with alliance/guild/clan mates. Maybe I have that application too pigeon holed, but that's my view.

No, actually not everyone uses facebook its the complete opposite, more people use discord cause its user friendly and effecient, it appeals more to the gaming community

I'll give you that as far as gaming goes discord is probably more popular and has pretty much killed most game related voice chat. I don't think anybody uses Teamspeak or Ventrillo anymore.

As far as use as a forum, I suppose the functionality isn't much different, I would rather have a web forum or facebook as those are accessible without having to have the client.

Why is everything being done on Facebook when they could easily make a discord and @everyone the information, so that questions/answers can finally be resolved.

Buying a cash shop costume so I don’t look like a noob

Not the worst thing to do ... it'll help out the developers, and really isn't a game like this kinda about dressing up your characters as that is one of the few ways to customize the appearance. If it's like the JP servers there will be additional eye, hair styles, hair colors and of course panties to purchase.

The developers know they type of crowd they are going for.

For the most part subscription (Pay2Play) MMOs don't work (WoW and FF XIV being exceptions I know of in the west). For Buy2Play there are a few and the most common model seems to be Free2Play game type.

I'm not a fan of subscriptions and would prefer Buy2Play if it's has a free trial so that I can get a feel of the game. Free2play seems to have all sorts of problems and not many seem to be successful in the west.

For some weird reason the jp version ran on my friends mac.

Don't hedge your bets on that though.

Hmmm two possible ways it could .....

    1. vFusion or some other tool to run a application in a virtual machine.

    2. Wine that I used to use to play Windows Games on Linux (Mac OSX version available).

After ports dried up of games on Linux and I got tired of trying to get games to run under wine with poor performance I gave up and used windows. Frankly I don't see any practical use for Mac OS anymore (Mac only creative stuff is almost non-existent) and Apple barely supporting it any-longer as they are almost totally focused on mobile now.

Frankly I don't want an official discord .... as others have said it's just one more thing that GF has to do and other than small groups they seem to become toxic. Reminds me of IRC from back in the day.

A guild running a discord is a fine thing, but one official one no way.

Do you like Scythes?! Do you like INSANE DPS?! Do you like a YANDERE?! Do you like a crazy girl?!

Then Lily the Bloomerchen is the one for you!

Definitely part of the appeal for that character, I kinda dig crazy chicks :P.

All the characters seem to be good, though I do have two preferences

Lily, she's just bashes up enemies in such an enjoyable way that I love using her.

Stella, is almost as enjoyable to play even though she's a support character and seems to be a more forgiving character.

Frankly I don't mind Haru, I just don't have as much fund playing her and haven't played Erwin. I really do need to give him a try as well.

    AkabaneKun gave a good breakdown

    The game itself xD

    Yep, that's my answer.

I'm really tired of the medieval Fantasy MMO/Co-op RPG get hyped and that's part of the reason I'm looking forward to this game. I really enjoy the combat in this game ... it's fast and responsive, there seems to be enough skills & progression to keep things interesting. I love the art style and the character designs and the world seems interesting from what little I've been able to figure out.
