I'm not a fan of the outline myself, however what you're seeing is the last frame being drawn without post-processing effects before a scene transition. The outline can very easily be modded out but their T&C does not allow modifiying of the client, not even the ini files, there is only a small temporary exception while people are having problems adjusting their game resolution.

Your argument makes no sense. Why would LionGames make a different version of their own game for JP if JP didn't request those changes. They just like wasting their own resources for the sake of it??
And who cares if JP's publisher wants nothing to do with GameForge? That comment doesn't even make sense. GameForge doesn't need JP's publisher to make the changes, they need LionGames to make the changes.
We can only speculate, but it is more likely that the JP publisher has made these alterations themselves and not LionGames.
I find it very unlikely they would call LionGames tech support for every little alterations they would want.
They've already told us we can't have voice overs from JP, it's a legality issue. They can't just add them if they want to.
Will we ever get the Japanese voice overs if not are we allowed to modify the client by ourselves?
We are currently not planning on offering the Japanese voice overs. They are created by a different publisher and we don’t have the license to use them.

It sounds very plausible that there is no involvement(or very little) from the JP publisher side of things.
So gameforge signed a contract with LionGames and are provided with everything "as is" from their side and any alterations they would want they would have to make for themselves such as translations which they did make! We don't know what kind of internal debates took place but from the results we see they've either not talked much about how JP runs the game(if at all) or decided that the original designs and balance are just fine, which is fair.
If this is the real scenario it's rather inappropriate to crucify gameforge over the differences between our version and JP
Because they might not even know about them, or know if the alterations proved good or bad, or maybe they don't find it appropriate mimicking other publishers.
It could be the JP publisher wants nothing to do with Gameforge, be it sharing game design or voiceovers, or simply demanding a lot of money for their alterations, but the reality is probably Gameforge has not reached out because they just aren't interested in partnerships that could complicate things, or they just they haven't felt a need for their changes.
I don't know how populated the game is in JP is compared to KR but people also have to remember these are wildy different audiences when it comes to the gameindustry, and the differences in design aren't necessarily directly related to how big their playerbases are, some games just end up more popular in some countries then others.

First of all: If the Mission you're running is way below your level, you only consume half of the FP needed to play. This is really nice imo since you don't feel like you're completely wasting your energy.
I believe there's an event that halves EP for everything right now and that might be what you're experiencing.
the downside is you also don't drop anything, be that materials, consumables, equipment or money. This makes farming stuff for future characters impossible. You also loose the option of collecting Fashion-Materials you need for crafting whatever thing you came back for. Also, what I consider worse, not only do you not drop anything but if you're playing with a Teammate, he doesn't drop anything either even if he's perfectly in Level-Range for the Mission. He also get's a lot less EXP compared to when he'd play solo or with a group at his Level.
Now I can kind of understand why they put this in but at the same time, it just doesn't sit right with me. I'd suggest changing this in a way, that you're still able to drop at least basic materials. Also, I'd remove the negative effects the lower player get's when playing with a high team-member. The Level of your teammates shouldn't influence what you get out of a Mission, especially since this could also happen via auto-matching.
I'm very disappointed that i cannot get drops from low level stages anymore, why should i be penalized for being stronger? what's odd is that there is still exp gains, strange logic, i don't see how my character would learn anything from weak enemies that can be defeated in a single blow.
I'm fine with the exp penalty for party members, i'm sure they don't want people boosting their friends by defeating everything for them very quickly, i think drops would be fine since it's probably much less gains then other dungeons you could be doing, thus not a efficient use of your time and energy.

JP is the original server since it was released first, KR came second.
It's developed in korea, for korea. For what is considered "original" should not be based on how the JP publisher choose to cater the game to their own audience, and while that may work out really well for them, the same approach doesn't necessarily do just as good in other regions. I for one do not like getting excessive amount of things shoved down my throat for simply logging in, i prefer to play and gain things on my own.
As for the JP login rewards, Why exactly do people want these rewards here? Doesn't it just push a Login2Win concept?
-
making harder the process all of sudden by increasing from 40 to 360 pcs/mat is a shock for everyone(not that big for EN players who were playing also on KR servers)
More like just for the 20% of the players that went out of their way to sneak around IP blocks to play a game in a different region and the 2% that goes to the forum to nitpick at every single design inconsistency with the JP server that isn't in their personal favor.

Edit: All the bindings can be customized, so maybe edit them accordingly to the defaults or your liking.
No they can't, at least not in-game.
This is the UI i'm refering to

But if you mean they're not registering when you try to bind them, that's more concerning.

I've been using a wireless xbox one controller with default keybinding since the start (I'm almost level cap)
The only issue i've had is that whenever my controller turns off i have to go back into options and enable controller use
i'm using it wirelessly so it turns off after a couple of minutes if left alone or out of power.
I'm surprised to hear there are xbox360 controller issues, i've been under the impression they give identical Xinput.

There doesn't seem to be all that many fashion blueprints in the game at the moment, and they aren't that appealing either,
Could see myself racking up enough materials for everything in a couple of months.
I don't know how long JP has been around but since players are commenting here that they want similar material costs.
Does anyone have any insight of how well the low costs are working for them over there?
Do they have a larger selection of craftables?
Did they craft everything in a weeks time and are straight up NPC'ing every material they come across?

The problem is the game is designed to load the assets from a bunch of archives, and they've made a patcher that can download and inject any new files into said archives, but they've decided not to have a patcher for steam users and so steam has to re-download any archieve that has been modfiied.
Personally i am fine with this, a lot of users might also prefer the convenience that steam automatically downloads updates so the game is always patched and ready.
Anything that can be done about it would take an excessive amount of time to make or is a dirty fix like including a patcher.

The outfit from the starter pack can also be obtained as blueprints in the grutin shop for a total of 3750 grutin coins i believe

I see there's another player with you, they were likely using a Active Akasha card summon.
-
You got to enjoy a free game for a while, knowing it is in beta and not serviced for your region.
-
I feel sorry for the players who skip all the dialogue like they're only experiencing half the game, Rawper is definitely my favorite character thus far.
-
in Candus city it's possible to reach 100% completion although it has that extra raid dungeon just like rucco town
-
At the end of missions, you have an option to get a specific item for 1 keycard and a random item for 3 keycards
(on the screen that shows clear rank and rewards)

For the sake of troubleshooting for those that are still having issues with todays patch after installing vcredist 2015 x86.
Which edition of windows are you running? What kind of error are you encountering? Are you using standalone or steam? Do you have the japanese voice pack? There is also a package of vcredist 2017 but it doesn't have a dedicated page because i believe it's included in windows update and anyone running somewhat up to date windows 10 should have it already, or if they've used an application or game that required said package are usually bundled with it. thus it is not something i would recommend downloading manually.
definitely share your errors because most users seem unaffected so its hard to know what is wrong otherwise.

The dll's are in System32 but I still overwrote them
+I keep repairing the soulworker file just in case..
Looked for windows updates.
Still having the missing DLL error!
It doesn't use the ones in System32 if you're on a 64bit OS It'll execute from the SysWOW64 folder where the 32bit version will be installed. Try installing the x86 package and see if the error persists

I just wanna clarify here that the cash shop doesn't take into account whether you're even logged into the game on the computer, it'll just send the items to the character you're currently logged in as ON the very same account the cash shop was opened on.
-
Don't worry, this trick the steam users are doing all happens only within the account, you can't get items from the cash shop of another account.
