I highly doubt this is due to region lock, since I'm having the same issue and I'm in the USA. There's a specific message you get if you try to log in from a blocked region. To be honest NA has had a lot of these issues in the past; it'll hopefully be fixed by tomorrow. (Even though it -really- sucks that this is happening on a night that had solace on one of the rookie raids lol)

Yep. I got kicked out and can't get back onto the NA server, but can get on the EN server fine. I got the "Game closing due to an attempt to log in" error a few times too.

For me, the characters and the storyline are major reasons I'm staying. I really enjoy looking deeply into video games (partially because I'm a writer who hopes to write for video games one day) and Soulworker has done some things with its storyline that are interesting to me. It helps that I have a friend who is as interested in the story as I am who I can share screenshots with and share theories with.

I also do enjoy the gameplay, though I have to admit, a lot of the game is easier than I prefer it to be, and I wish the game would let you attempt to go into GC and Primal solo. Overall I like how combat feels, but that is only most important to me when I've done all current story content and am preparing for the next new story/lore thing by grinding.

As for the whole lootboxes issue... I'm not going to lie, I'm very disappointed by it, but I've seen enough people running around with Grutin tails/ears/paws 48 hours after they released those lootboxes to know that not everyone has a big problem with them, even if I tend to be wary of them at the very least.

EDIT: .........I'm still completely at a loss but I mean, the game let me in, I just still have no idea what happened. I'm very confused about this whole thing but at least it's better. Feel free to either ignore this thread, or laugh at my confusion and the fact that it fixed itself after I posted this. (Personally, I'm doing the latter :'D)

EDIT #2: It fixed itself again, but as it's turning out, it's something to do with my college's internet. (Or, more accurately, my state's internet apparently) So... problem... will hopefully be fixed soon

    ---

I'm... slightly at a loss here. I have a friend who can log in to the NA server, and I know there are people playing on the NA server right now, but I haven't been able to log in for a few hours now. At first I thought my college's internet was being riddiculous, but then I tried to log on to the EN server and got on perfectly fine, so I'm not sure what's going on. But every time I click the NA server, it does one of two things:

    1. Does nothing, I sit at the main menu screen for a while, no buttons work and I have to close it

    2. I get to the character select screen and when I click "start game" the same thing happens and again, I have to close it

I've tried repairing game files in Steam, reinstalling the game, and restarting my computer. I'm not convinced it's a problem on my side because I can go into any other server fine... but everything else seems to point towards it being a problem on my side because other people have been playing fine all day. I did play for 1 or 2 hours earlier today, got to the end of the first area and grinded for a bit, got offline for an hour to finish my school work, and when I tried to go back, it wouldn't let me in. I'm going to restart my computer again when I've gotten something to eat. As much as I want to play GCC and get to level 60, I'm not even angry at this point, I'm just vaguely baffled and am trying to think of anything that might help that I haven't already done. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.:lilly2:

Yes GC got reworked, the layout is slightly different, the bosses are a bit better designed and well you dont need a full group anymore. But note that you get less loot then

This is a good thing to note; while I wouldn't personally care that much, (since I can't get any drops at all if I can't even get a party for GC lmao) I think there would be a lot of complaints from people currently farming GC if the drops got nerfed before Primal (or at least something else more worth farming) comes out. While we have gotten some modified updates (such as the loot drops in our current rookie raids being changed since we got the updated rookie raids sooner), I'm not sure if we could expect that again or not.

Then again, I try to keep my hopes pretty low for game companies, so maybe they would be able to do something similar to what they did with the rookie raids, but I'm not going to get my hopes up for it. (Feel free to prove my pessimism wrong here though Gameforge >>; )

I would LOVE to try to solo Golden Citadel, even as a player who isn't that powerful. I just generally love soloing things, but it's also an opportunity for players who might be more shy to get practice without feeling like they're going to ruin someone's run. (Honestly, that's the main reason I haven't run Golden Citadel that often; the last time I did it, I did horrible. So I wanted to practice... but I can't practice without finding 3 more people who also want to practice and don't want to just faceroll the entire raid. And considering that I'm going back to college soon and have limited time to play, it's looking like I'm not going to get that chance before Primal comes out.

I've heard that on KR, you can now go into GC with two people. Even this would be better than what we have now.

I'm also having issues; when I tried to get on NA an hour after this thread was made, I was able to play for a little while, but d/ced and haven't been able to get on since. I can get to the character select, but then the "start game" button does nothing. I'd love to be able to take part in the event, I need to get more practice in golden citadel, and I also want to farm more weapon upgrade chips before this weekend...

I'd be really happy if they made this event permanent actually, because it would be nice to be able to grind and have a guarantee that eventually, you will get something good out of it. It also makes it easier to get anti-destructs and akasha transmitters for players who can't afford to spend as often or at all. (I have a friend who was more excited about the akasha transmitters than the ECs :P) Thinking about it, the optimistic part of me wants to say that it's possible they implemented this event with the intention of seeing what it does to prices and implementing it permanently if it does help.

That being said... I'm still not completely convinced by this event. It'll take a while to make any significant dent in the market, but as it stands (at least on the NA server), it is more cost-efficient to buy WUCs from the recycling shop and buy ECs with the money you get from selling them... which runs the risk of driving the price of ECs further up rather than down. Alternatively, the WUC price could go down and the EC price could stay stable. (Important note: I'm speaking here as someone with just a cursory knowledge of economics. Take what I say with plenty of salt, it's not a guarantee that it will happen by any means at all.)

Yeah, I have to admit, even though I finished the event, I'm not impressed. I have a friend who was working on the event still, and we had been going by the date it said in-game, which would mean they would have still had a week to level their character. Now they kind of feel like they wasted their time doing it, because while they got some rewards from it, they would have planned it differently had they known so that they could get all of the rewards from the event.

And I never even thought to check the end date and time for the event on the forums because it didn't occur to me that it might have been wrong in-game. (I recognize that I could have been more attentive to that.) I can understand making mistakes, I don't expect any game company to be perfect. But honestly... this one is a pretty major one. A lot of people are feeling cheated by it, even to the point of not wanting to play the game right now. Extending the event to the 31st for those people would be a great way to make up for it in my opinion.

Another issue I've heard of is that apparently due to Steam's fees, you get more soulcash if you buy it on the standalone client. So if you plan on buying soulcash (especially large quantities) it may be worth it to switch to the standalone client. (That being said, I'm not sure how much the difference is exactly, I've only seen the Steam rates as I play through steam.) If you don't plan to buy Soulcash, the biggest issues I'm aware of have already been brought up.

Iris actually doesn't have an epic avatar set, which is why she can't open those. (It kind of sucks that it doesn't say Jin can open it though when he definitely can.)

The wings, on the other hand, should be able to be used by Iris according to the announcement of the epic set, so that seems like a bug to me. (Here's the initial announcement if you want to read it for yourself)

I got this bug earlier. I don't think it was already sold because when I refreshed the page, it didn't disappear. I was also able to buy others of the same item (for me it was an Aurith headpiece; I found one that I thought was pretty great and cheap and I couldn't buy that specific one, I ended up going for a more expensive one).

Honestly... the only thing I can think about being a possible cause is the people who were banned/blocked recently. They probably had stuff on the market, maybe the fact that they're banned/blocked made it impossible to buy those items? (That's just a guess though. It could be completely off. And to be honest, the only way us players could test it is by purposefully being banned which is... honestly probably among the worst and least appealing ideas I've ever had lmao)

Technically there are... but they're in the cash shop. (And Grutin coin underwears for Jin and Erwin were only recently added to the KR server if I remember correctly.)

That being said, that was one of the first things I noticed in this game (before they added the underwear options that are in the cash shop) and I was pretty disappointed/irritated by it. (And I'm a lesbian, I have literally no interest in the male characters beyond their storylines lol)

Lily main here. (That being said, I'm enjoying the other characters a lot too, and am excited for Iris. This is actually the first game that I feel there's a good chance I will end up maxing out one of every character, instead of sticking solely to one main, even if I will always have my favorite as Lily.)

I've heard that it is in the very center of D6, and that in that zone, you can't attack other people (so it's basically a safe zone). I'm excited to be honest though, I've been waiting for it ever since the alert got implemented accidentally and I learned it existed :P

I'm definitely curious to see if they're going to try to bring all of the soulworkers together. It could be very messy, but if they were to pull it off well, this game's storyline would possibly take the spot of my second favorite MMO storyline. First favorite is pretty firmly taken already so they'd have to pull something major off to take that. (At the same time, it's possible these are just meant as references. However, considering that there are at least two of these references so far in each storyline, I find it hard to believe they really don't plan to do anything with it, but we'll see.)

I've definitely noticed my die-phoons disappearing in this area. Other Lily skills do the same thing (mostly the one that pulls enemies and the one that throws her scythe, if they center in that area, will also disappear). It's good to know that drops disappear in that area too though, I'll have to keep that in mind next time I farm BH.
