History also shows precedents for cashshop MMOs that offer a reasonable price tag for cosmetics, and remain strong to this day. Consumers will expect a similar pricetag on a similar item in a similar game.

Examples that compete with Soulworker's niche: Vindictus, Dragon Nest, Elsword, Closers, (PSO2?). If this one turns out to be outrageously more expensive, that's a big minus for paying users, regardless of how not P2W it turns out to be.

If being extorted is a hobby of sorts, I'm sure China has plenty of browser games to offer.

Can't tell how much of that was sarcasm.

Good to know we're still using the same standards as 15 years ago. Show of hands! Who still uses dial-up?

Being able to change between hairstyles you bought and your default is pretty much a given in any recent games I've played that had a costume system. Elsword, Aura Kingdom, Vindictus, Closers, FFXIV (just an ingame currency charge), Blade & Soul (premium hairstyles take up the hat slot).

Only ones that don't have that feature now are games where your character model is locked at character creation, and even complete recustomisation vouchers rarely cost this much.

Not like Soulworker's selection of hairstyles is so drop dead gorgeous they can charge double of what you find in other games either. For that price I'd expect full customizations on length, color and details, whenever I want. And proper previewing features. Why isn't there a preview from front and back, for one?

This topic is interesting. Respect to the OP for trying to justify the prices, but the argument needs some work.

Let's apply that to an example.

May I sell you some shampoo? €5 per bottle, and after you next shower your hair will be glossier than ever!

But wait! I also offer a brand at €10 per bottle, and you can even use it while bathing! How awesome is that?!

People don't pay extra for commonly found features that are expected of a new product. There is no reason Soulworker should get away with charging prices for a hairpiece that other games would charge for an entire costume set.
