This is messed up on so many levels... GF is rewarding players who left the game and returned instead of rewarding active players with better login bonuses... I can see the good intentions but the logic is awful. By all means have a "Pack for Returnees" but don't give such valuable items in these quantities unless you plan on making them available to active players too in some way. This is really unfair and disappointing.

more than one queue open.. easy as that - thats what is in pvp aswell

Wait, are you telling me you can party up for Dimension Trip? O.o seriously? I thought you could only go solo (?) Or are you talking about the future 4v4 mode?

Unfortunately, Steel Grave at the moment is merely a place to farm MK blueprints and a source of very modest BP gains. You can complete all 15 episodes rather easily and you soon lose interest in what could have been good repeatable content.

The concept of Steel Grave itself is interesting (or it would be if it was actually a challenge after you reach 55) but it can easily be improved or enhanced not only by adding more episodes with higher difficulty and better rewards, but also by adding some features like the following:

-Make a "custom" episode where you can list the enemies you want to fight against: For example I want to fight 3 bosses at once, and I want to choose which ones. This would not only create many possibilities and repeatable content but also raise the difficulty and incentivize players to improve their skills and gear.

-Add a "training dummy" inside Steel Grave. It should have infinite HP and would allow players to spend time practicing their combos, testing their gear, akashas and different setups. This would also be great for new players who are still familiarizing themselves with new skills. It would allow everyone to test their dps by taking time to look at the combat logs since there would not be the need to worry about getting hit or dodging enemies' attacks.

I think the implementation of any of these 2 modes should be fairly easy in terms of the dev work involved, and it would give a lot of value to an otherwise rather irrelevant instance.

    Thank you for reading.

The best thing to do would assemble some voluntary testers. Who better to ask if sometime went wrong, then the people playing the game frequently? We could at least reduce the surprises that way.

I think you came up with a great idea right there. They should make a test server and allow volunteers to pre-test patches.

Anyhow, I won´t deny that that's the reality in day to day game development, it's just that if we go back to the main topic of the thread; we have no proper patch notes. They are not developing our version of the game from scratch, they are applying changes that already exist. If they did care to produce patch notes maybe it would even help them think about the changes that they are implementing.

Yeah Nitros, we know bugs happen and it's inevitable, but what we have here isn't really bugs, it's a lot bigger and noticeable than that because it affects the whole economy and balance of the game.

We say Gameforge should playtest the patches, but in reality it's Lion Games who should make sure they deliver what they were asked. Since they don't seem to have any QA at Lion Games, then Gameforge needs to verify.

Someone at GF surely must have 10 minutes after a lunch break to test the patch, it's all it takes, 1 run of a raid to see if things look normal. This simple action would have meant the following: Someone logs in to the test server and enters a raid-> Instantly: "Oh wow, this didn't look like that before..." Followed by: "Why is the raid different/shorter now?" Followed by: "Why am I getting these drops? I get brooches but I don't get grutin cubes anymore? What is going on? We can't push this patch to live servers."

This took 1 run of any raid to notice the game hadn't been patched correctly. 10 minutes worth of time to avoid a mess.

It's just a matter of double checking things before sending them out.

So you are telling me that Gameforge dont know what patches are coming to their game. This is straight bull. Even if it was the truth that is a even worse implication. Ignorance or willful ignorance is really not except able when it come to a company providing you service. You really deserve better my friend.

Yes, that is exactly what is happening, because of 2 reasons:

-Lion Games is not good at patching, as you know they have included changes that were not supposed to happen (several times).

-Gameforge is not testing the patches before they implement them (as far as we know) so when they go live we always get hidden surprises. When the community complains about them, Gameforge says they didn't know about those changes and they will ask the developer why this happened and to revert it in the next patch.

This is the game's history in a nutshell.

We have received updates several times which contained changes that not even Gameforge knew about...

Lion Games is responsible for patching and not even they know themselves what they are doing most of the time so how are you expecting them to put together comprehensive patch notes? Even if they did, would you trust them? I think Gameforge doesn't, and I totally see why.

I was going to ask this exact same question. It's rather annoying to not have the teleport item because they forgot to refresh its duration after the fix...

In theory, applying a new VIP on top of an existing one should simply increase the duration... but I guess nobody wants to be the guinea pig xP

While this is a pain, it's rather common in mmorpgs. The easiest workaround is to stay away from channel 1. Those bots rarely spam in less populated channels. Also, as soon as you leave Rucco Town you'll stop seeing them because they don't bother going all the way to Candus to spam.

    This is very wrong.

I understand the F2P model but you have to play it smart. Do you really think that nerfing so hard the alt farming will really increase your sales in the premium shop? Hell no, if anything, this is going to upset people.

I have put 75 gbp into this game (~86 eur) and 90% of it was for outfits, hair styles, hair colours, etc (i.e. fashion). I never regretted anything and in fact I would have no problem spending more in fashion because I love it, but that is only if I know that the core elements of the game are open and accessible. The moment that you as a developer restrict the access of the player base to critical elements of the game, or make decisions to increase the difficulty of obtaining what's necessary to fully experience and enjoy the game, I see that as you putting rocks in my shoes and I lose interest in walking any further.

I do not like this but I still have some faith because you have shown that you are able to rectify. All we need is to have some other means of obtaining (to some extent) all the stuff that we were alt farming for, but maybe actually in the end game rather than with this abomination of having to make and delete alts every day/week.

I bought a VIP Gold membership quite early in beta. Then Gameforge decided to reset everyone's membership time left back to 30 days again, after an issue was discovered.

The problem is that the teleport item's 30 day expiration was not reset, so for me it expired yesterday or two days ago. Now I still have a lot of VIP membership time left but no teleport item, so what can I do to get it back?

    Thank you.

Things to consider before entering the pvp mode:

Dimension Trip doesn't regulate gear, akasha skills or brooches. Therefore what you bring with you will have a big impact on the outcome. Many people will probably go unprepared or with pve gear and pve akashas and they will get oneshotted.

I believe it's possible to obtain temporary pvp gear from an NPC (like renting it) but I'm not sure how this is done.

The gear in our current patch is not pvp oriented and we all lack a ton of Crit Resist, so at the beginning we can expect fights to end quite quickly.

Playing the pvp mode rewards you with materials to craft pvp gear that is incredibly strong. You should absolutely farm these materials if you are interested in pvp, although the downside is that this set will be bad for pve.

This outfit is given to you as a quest reward but it is temporary, only lasts for 3 days.

If you bought the permanent version in the premium shop and it disappeared then you should contact support, but you probably had the free one.
